Pay it forward stickey in B/S/T's

I was thinking it would be nice if we had a thread stickied in the BST's for people to offer up their spare goods. We all know we have lots of little parts just sitting in a box that are never going to get used. There are lots of people in need of what would just be junk to us. And its just a way to spread the love around the community a little. So what do you think?

Would it be of benefit if it only applied to member that are active on the boards?

        Maybe a ### post minimum?

Keep away the people just looking for freebees.

maybe not in that respect, maybe just limit to people who are willing to share other items, even if it is nothing to big. That way people are always contributing to the system.

Exactly. It could just be a place to post up if you need a little part or if you have stuff you wouldnt mind parting with. Even I have a couple of barrels that are never going to be used. Id rather some newbie were using the stuff and getting some enjoyment out of it.

I think this is not only a great idea, but also one more thing that could bring AO back to being the "community" it was back in the early 2000's. Good idea!

                    me me me

I like the idea a lot. very smart and deffintly a step in the right direction to get AO back to what it once was.

though i will add the the idea of "give and take". one would have to add to the list of goodies before one could take. and i also agree on the idea of a person has to been apart of AO for a certian time period (join date) or be based on post count.

but yea, i deffintly like the idea!

Well thats why were here. Lets come up with some form of regulation.

And sorry Hank, Im not going to be responsible for maintenance. Im just the idea guy.

Im down for having to add something to request something. I dont know that the post count thing is going to work though. Post whores will be all over it.

Edit: OK, whos the stingy bastard that voted no?

Thats a really good idea. Great way to keep it to members with a good trading record.
