I would like to see this.

Another question I have is what if you didn't have a hopper at all, rather this catchcup/warp system box that you can just pull a 140 rnd pod out and lock it in? No, not the Q-loader...

It doesn't work, but that's due to my lack of machining abilitity, not design flaws.

If you've ever run into rubber lego tank treads, if you get them spaced right they work perfect. They're soft, they nubbs can catch a ball enough to push it, but if they're sized right, they can also 'slip' past a ball if there's a jam.

I'll try to take pictures at some point. I know I posted some YEARS ago.
I think TK did something like this, except it was in the form of a backpack.

the reason i was thinking screw type rather then dual belts is its a simpler transmission. but the belts are a good idea too.

        Thought of something.

Regular Halo feed-wheel, and instead of a freeway, just make a passage to another feed-wheel that sits vertically like a ferris-wheel (only positioned spo you can see the whole plane of the wheel looing from the back of the hopper). It would appear as if two gears are turning each other, and paint would feed from hopper, to horizontal wheel, to vertical wheel, to a feedneck out the top, then to the gun.

Timing would be very hard though, and there would have to be 2 different directions of spin and feedneck placement for righty/lefty. And you'd still have the freeway orientation problem.

So if you lean out left, the loader activates the left (then, bottom) side, and vice versa?
The Halo TSA did this. It was normal agitation but spun a direction depending on hopper angle. The problem was it got confused when it was vertical, and when snap shooting it would basically spin back and forth with little motion causing jams. There is a reason why that loader was dropped like a hot rock.

Besides, a force fed loader with two raceways seems like it would literally have traffic jams.

When I get the time I plan on turning my magna drive loader into a "warpfeed" of sorts using a tupperware container. I would find a professionally crafted one that somewhat resembled a halo more appealing, though.

Question: Is there some way to install an RF transmitter in a mag? I have no idea how RF works but I'm guessing it could be used similar to an intelliswitch and then you wouldn't need to run your hopper/home-made warp in sound mode.

He did but it was in the form of a hopper as well.

Only an Emag. You need a board/solenoid for the chip to controll.

That sounds similar to Jim Drew's Corkscrew loader he was working on several years ago. The Corkscrew never made it out of prototyping but Jim said the JRNY is very similar to his basic design. I wish the Corkscrew would've hit market because Jim wanted an affordable hopper that could be mounted to the side of the gun similar to what we're discussing.

Couldn't you rig a simple battery powered circuit that would complete the circuit to the RF chip when the intelliswitch is held in?

I guess so. Well, I mean not me personally. But Im sure someone could do it.

Seems like it might be useful to use a magnetic clutch like in the Torque hoppers. Or the new Empire models, I guess. It'd do the same job as the old slip discs.
