AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
I've got the new Tadao in my Valhalla, runs great!
True but IIRC an EGO board was used in that frame, not a "Viking" specific board. Of course I am sure that has little or nothing to do with the actual programming or function of the board. Tadao does make a good product. I have a few of them in various markers of mine.
BTW: what is with all the angst in here towards hill160881. You all is interpreted his post wrong. In regards to the others who posted pics. Who doesn't want to see what the other guys have? I know I do! CHILL!

I'll show you mine if you show me yours
Druid, Loguzzz is right, it's the Ego Tadao board, but they function the same, I really like them. I'm not an expert on boards though, seeing as I only own 2 electros. I think it is very simple to operate though. I also like the blue screen
I picked up one of the new Ebisu USB boards this summer after my older board got wet and decided to do strange crap. I haven't had a chance to really disect it or try and tune every setting but with the multi-color LED changing things is a breeze as long as you can remember what the different colors mean or have the instructions with you...I learned that the hard way lol. It seems to be a bit faster than my old one and works good so far.

Nelson board, right? They did some... strange things. Might've been haunted. Or maybe they went intelligent like Skynet and rejected their programming in an attempt to destroy mankind. Either way, most people (who don't buy a new board) just re-flash'em every few months when they start to go. I know you can get through at least two years that way, possibly forever, as it didn't seem to get any worse.

No worries bud. I already apologized for misunderstanding him.
I simply don't know anything about Tadao boards. I'm familiar with Stock SP, Lucky and Scenario Dreams but that's about it.
I might give the Tadao a try but the price of the UTB is much more enticing...lol.
Damon actually made the one button programming for a custom Timmy I built
it also only had a slide switch (crazy AIM frame)
it is the one you want if you want to stick with the stock look, although it wouldnt be hard to put in the 2 button board and mount a membrane pad on the back of the frame

No, it was an older Tadao board and I've never delt with electros that much so I just replaced it and it works now haha. I run all mech cockers and a few mags other than my 2 Emags and the vikings that I've picked up in the past year or so...so I'm still learning there.

So as I understand that, the only real difference between the single and double button is the presence of the membrane pad?
Educate me. Why is this? I've always associated Tippmann with quality (going back to the analogy of being able to dig a foxhole with them and then continue using them.)
Are Phenoms not made to that same standard?
Please please please... shoot a video of you digging a fox hole with a phenom or x-7 and show us all up
because i for one would love to see this.
you do realize that a tippmann's body is stamped steel (or w/e metal) right? and an emag (or viking since this is the suggested topic) is machined... right there you already have quality manufacturing 10 fold.. not to mention they are made with plastic parts... the only plastic part you could find on a mag is the safety assembly the grips and the o-rings (not actually plastic)
so when you compare Tippmanns "top level" marker to AGD's "bottom of the barrel" 68 classic
you still get a marker of better quality.
and i have nothing against tippmann because they are great for newbies and the like but to compare it to AGD or AKA is just plain silly.

From what I've found in reviews, the Phenoms body is internally-milled, powder-coated aluminum.
not to mention they are made with plastic parts...
And I realize we're comparing an Emag to the Phenom. . . But please.
You're going to pull the "plastic parts" card on Automags.org?
Do I need to go find the pic of the frame carrying the Miata?
Enlighten me again: whats wrong with plastic parts? PLEASE explain to my why Tom Kaye was wrong to use "plastic" in his grip frames.
I didn't mean to get confrontational about this, since I'm actually looking into getting a Phenom and kind of wondering about how good they are. But if you're going to throw out incorrect arguments (steel bodies) or misleading arguments (plastic parts being inferior), I'm going to have to ask for an explanation on your reasoning.

He's talking about the internals on the cyclone. I've owned an A-5 and if the Phenom's use the same plastic internals on the cyclone I recommend that be your first upgrade the piston or the gear almost always break after consistant high rates of fire. Don't know if this is the case with the Phenom, but worth checking into.
My only 3 complaints with the phonom are as follows:
1. Too much bulk, should have been milled down, no reason for the extra size. Also I hate the ergonomics of tippmans (personal preference).
2. It does not have it's own regulator.
3. No Level 10 or Eyes. If they are going to use Tom Kayes designs, they might as well install a lvl 10 on every phenom. I understand that the cyclone is really good at preventing chops, but it would be just that much better if it had them.
Other than that, it is a huge improvement on the tippman line.
