    About Manny's SFL...

DO all SFL E-Mags allow you to put your finger infront of the bolt without chopping your finger off or is it just Manny's? If it is just his, where can I get this mod done?

Also, will the normal modular E-mags have this feature too?

Uh... it's no mod. It's the ACE. It will sense whether or not there is something in the chamber, and if it is a ball, it will fire. If it is not a ball (i.e. your finger) it will not fire. Please - do not try this without an ACE. It will hurt. A lot. You will cry. If the Xtreme E-Mags come with the ACE, then they will do it too.

P.S. - Why are people so amused by the "finger" comment? Personally, I didn't figure there were many people out there that would consider something that wouldn't cut your finger off a huge, must-own item... oh, well.

      Two questions.

      1. When is the ACE going to be released?

      2. How much will the ACE cost?

Any help with these two questions is appreciated.

I read that the standard feed bodies were long so that people wouldn't stick their fingers into the chamber area,
cuz the mag bolt would shred/shear your finger off. Sounds like it could too.. I wouldn't stick my finger into a standard mag breach, ACE or not

Actually, the demo TK was giving us at the LA Open was his Research & Development with regards to bolt speed. Also, the spring that he used for the bolt was significantly longer too so to produce more tension. In fact, when TK told us to put our fingers in front of the bolt, he made sure we didn't cover up the ACE. Manny's gun was unique because it was modified to test out some of his experiements based off of his studies.

TK explained a lot of things that day. It was very interesting to hear about all the tests and experiements he had to do.

People love sticking their finger in front of the bolt cause if it doesn't chop off your finger, hopefully it won't chop up a ball.

Dang, that reminds of the kid in school (grade school) that decided to see what would happen if he stuck a paper clip into an electrical socket...

None of us knew what exaclty would happen so we dared someone to do it anways. Well we got our answer, he got schocked and got sent straight to the nurses office.

i shot my finger in there once too. i was trying to clean the breach and forgot to de-gas the gun. yeah it hurt, but i didn't break my finger or anything. i can't remember how bad i had shot it, but like i siad, nothing serious. i think all i remember is there being a bruise. no big deal. that doesn't mean go out and try it. but as i said, i don't think it's going to hurt to bad.

                    Really...

People stick their fingers in the breach to test the force of the bolt?

I thought everyone was just sticking their fingers in their trying to reach and check for elves in their guns. Thats what Ive been doing this whole time.

                    hmmm...

um who started this rumor that it was the ace? I was there and it definitely wasnt the ace, the bolt moved then it actually like seated back to be fired again. It bounced off your finger kind of(but you had hold your finger on it). If the ace was engaged the bolt wouldnt even move.

Guys its a bad idea to stick your finger in a regular mag breech and fire, it even says in the manual(rt at least). I wouldnt recommend doing it.

Back to the question, it was a prototype valve that needed a special thing in the body. It will probably be some sort of valve/body exchange(a really expencive one) when it is released. It may come as an option on sfl type e-mags because everyone may not want it. I am just guessing though, you heard everything i did.

ok at sams today tom showed the e-mag in question, it is a prototype lower pressure mag...thats one of the resons you can stick your finger there...DO NOT TRY IT WITH NORMAL MAGS! they have alot more force behind the bolt....

Manny's SFL has a completely diferrent valve than the production 'Mags. It has the Aluminium valve body, larger air chamber, redesigned power tube and tip, heavier bolt spring.....
It was not because of the ACE, the bolt moves slower on that gun than the production 'Mags!!!

Thats a wierd setup, if the airchamber was enlargened, wouldnt the pressure then be lower. Why would a heavier spring be put in, shouldnt it be a lighter spring to accomodate the lower pressure. What was the actual operating pressure of the Mag. Why is this new valve design a success after the downfall of the Smart valve?

                            I need answers...
