Well, with my standard valve'd hyperwarp'd mag, i havent broken a ball in about 9000 shots. However shortly after reaching this point, around the 9008 shot I broke a ball just at the end of the bolt stroke....

The shot counter is handy, and I assume this ratio of 1/9008 is rather good. Also, note that this is with an old AGD stock bolt, no foamie.. The enlarged air chamber would work good with the Emag/rt valve because of the recharging properties right? But would the chamber increase be enough to eliminate shoot up? and still provide rt trigger?

Good to know that somone of Tom's status seeks "relief" from a sport he helped create. A sport now ruled by a single patent.

Now I am really wondering about the enlargened air chamber. Everyone claimed the Smart valve to cause shootdown. I think it was all negative hype that came about. The regular Mag valve was mentioned in the AGD site to have a 20 bps recharge capability. In the HALO vid it proved a Standard Mag valve could recharge 16.

If the air chamber was infact enlarged 20%. This would reduce all other factors 20% right? 20% less bolt speed (I think pressure and the bolt speed is actually determined logarithmically if not linear), 20% less pressure, 20% less recharge. 20% less recharge of a 20 bps capability standard valve would still mean 16 bps, more than we could stil use. With an operating pressure in the low 300's, that would sell more Mags in the marketplace.

Damn, Im here at home studying for my midterms, and now Im more concerned about this new valve design than my studies.

      *Sigh*

When you are having ball breakage problems you first need to determine if it is a chop or a barrel break. If there is paint in the feed tube it is a chop. Chopping is usually a feed problem or short-stroking. Breaks down the barrel (no paint in the feed tube) are possibly caused from brittle paint. Testing showed that the markers with the slower bolt speed were easier on brittle paint.
