WTF!?!? Ok, this is past rediculous. Why the hell would a company market their products like this!?!? It's just wrong. You're supposed to see this kind of stuff at 18 and over clubs, street race meets, etc. Not at public ALL AGES paintball events.

last I checked Severe is a local team. I think their home field is Ruff & Tuff sports corp. Chris can you verify that? I think they played 2 months ago at strikeforce, they're really nothing to fear. As for the image, I think the Angel Air tanks are just as bad as the image above. However if one of those women was a man would you be complaining about that photo? Are they really advertising or just kissing and posing in front of a Sever poster for some lonely camera man? I don't know the background on that image, I don't think that many people would have problems with 2 females hooking up at a tournament. It's just food for thought, not necessarily my oppinion but I am curious as to what was going on when the picture was taken.

It would be understandable if it wasn't an ad. I'm not sure a lonley camera man would be at the right spot at the right time to get a picture of those two like that in front of the server poster. It just seems like it was an intended act to attract people...

I do think it's silly to use sex to sell paintball gear. But, I like chicks, so its not that big a deal.

Sex is everywhere in advertisement, it sells just about anything. Why should paintball be any different in the eyes of advertising?

As far as the chicks being "gross and stupid, lesbians & crazy strippers" this is their life, let them live it. How does two chicks in love ( hope that's not too graphic ) affect your life? What goes on in their bedroom has NO bearing on your life.

Right on Shartley. I don't agree with what some people do in thier own bedroom, but I have no say. It's not my concern. However, as soon as it comes out of the bedroom then it is my concern.

Why do you think they don't let kids into R rated movies? Because there are adult themes in them. IT IS NOT HEALTHY FOR KIDS TO SEE CERTIAN ADULT SITUATIONS. It is very unhealthy. I won't even go into the morality of it. That is why they make laws prohibiting children from being introduced to certain (especially sexually explicit) adult material.

So you like that stuff... big deal. Who cares. Go home and have fun with it. It doesn't belong in Public.

Going a step further, it's bad for the sport. Who cares if sex sells. Who gives a rats ***, it's the wrong thing to do. Period. There are alot of appropriate ways to sell a product. Especially if its a good product. People keep defending this garbage saying "it sells, and people will buy it". So what. People would buy it if you actually put some thought into market strategy and had a really nice informative add with great pictures of the product. They don't NEED sex to sell their product.

My wife sees this stuff and is VERY offended by it. She's a beautiful women and has nothing to worry about. Yet it offends her. Tuff luck getting her into paintball. Tuff luck getting her to want to enjoy the sport with me. The same goes for my kids. I would love to take them to the World Cup to expose them to some awesome paintball. But if they are going to be exposed to this kind of trash, then forget it. There is no way I would intentionally take my children to an event where I thought they might be damaged as individuals because they saw something they shouldn't have and aren't old enough to properly interpret what they saw.

My point is Sex belongs in the bedroom. Not on the paintball field or anywhere near it.

Thanks shartley. I found them interesting. I was commenting on some of these same things to Bill Mills at NPPL LA. I esp. liked your discussion with Lizza. Had that (Hey wanna....) at the field I play at I believe they offending party would have been asked to leave. Had I heard it I would have taken issue with the offending party. Esp. when it is being said to a 14 year old girl.

If your upset about these pic's, then don't look at the new Mantis catalog. It's shocked me with the content. I like the mantis products, but until I can put there catalogs out for my customers to look at, I will not buy from them. Even the posters they have are too graphic to put in my pro shop!
The pic's you are offended by may be too much for some people. I think is is right on the line of good/bad taste. I am personally not going to buy an IR3 just because a hot girl is licking the barrel, or buy Severe products because they have some hotties kissing in front of there banner... I bet that some moron will buy an IR3 due to that add thinking he is going to score with a chick. Then again, he is a moron...
