The frame is ready for production, fixtures are made and ready to go, and I have all the materials and tooling, so we're just in a holding pattern at the moment. Before I start that, I need to make the protype LPR so I can test the fitment and the over-all design as it may affect the MP90 and Z-Grip designs. (I'm trying to make this stuff as modular as possible.) That said, the programs are all ready to go on the various LPR pieces, I'm just waiting to get past the holiday to make those parts. Prototyping can be stressful (LOL) and Xmas is just to big of a distraction to start on it. The delays actually worked out perfectly because the Z-Grip initiated some minor changes in the LPR design. All of which was a big improvement for the LPR, VASA, MP90 and the Z grip.

      It shouldn't be long...

We can't talk prices in the main forum but it will probably be the same as the MV.

Making head way on the LPR, once the prototype is finished and tested I'll knock these frames out.

Here's a few pictures of the LPR prototype, first picture shows the modified 1/8 pipe thread compared to a standard fitting. The P90 LPR works in all 1/8 NPT threaded holes and uses an o-ring seal. If there isn't a flat surface for the oring to seal on you can use thread sealer for those applications.

Partial assembly, brass fitting with the swivel manifold. Working on the housing next.

Making some progress, design and machining is dialed in. I still need to machine the MP90 to mount the reg and do the testing, but I should get the machining done tomorrow and get started on testing. When that's done it will go direct to production. This brings both the MP90 and Z2 closer to production, lots of parts to make but we're moving forward.

                That looks good.
Excited about the Z2 getting closer!

Gas through through frame is done a little differently than what's come before.

Looks awesome, I'll definitely have to set aside some tax money for a new toy.

I realize i'm out of the loop.......a bit.

What's the deal with gas-through-frame? Is there any point other than avoiding micro/macro/SS line?

It's just a good place to hide the LPR for those guys that like sleeper frames.

Out of curiosity will this LPR be able to fit into a Mini Vert frame or will it be an option on future Mini Verts?

As is, no. With some minor adjustments in the current design, maybe. That said though, I probably wouldn't be interested in retro fitting into existing frames anyway, it's easier just to make the changes and run new ones. The bigger issue is the room (Or the lack there of) to get a hex key into the frame to adjust the LPR.

The MP90 is taller than the MV by about 0.45" and there's still not room for a standard hex key. I do have several avenues on the MP90 to deal with it, but it's a much bigger issue on the MV. I considered it during the design process of the LPR but do to geometry limits the final design is what it is and cant really be shortened..

All that said, if you like the MV I think you will also like the MP90.

The initial testing on the P90 lpr looks good. I'm going to disassemble the reg and re-mic everything to double check the specs, then do more testing, then I'll gear up for production. The hard part is done so I should be able to knock out all the parts then move right to the next project.
