Youre shooting at a guy and you want to advance, you cant shoot him out like a good paintballer sow what do you do, well, ive seen people in this situation call paintchecks on the man they are firing on so they can move up. I hate it when people do that.

another one i hate, the player doesnt know for sure where anyone is, so he just calls out paint check, and the ref usually goes to the closest player, ok then he says, no not him, and points in a general direction, then the guy knows where two of the players are

    a dirty trick

Usually when I reff rec ball if someone calls a paintcheck on another player I make sure that they know which player they want the check on. I never go to a member of the other team without the player pointing them out to me. During tourneys when I am reffing I never go for a paintcheck that is called by someone besides the person who needs the check.

Our field has a rule that if a player is being checked he is called neutral and any opposing player that advances on that player while they are neutral is stopped and escorted to their original position. During tourneys, if the reff knows that the player is advancing on that person they are usually eleminated for a breach of the rules.

Well I'll admit it.I'll do that "nasty tactic" in tourney ball ONLY!I don't use it to hit people, only when I'm trying to move up.I don't do it in recball since it's just for fun,not honor.Hey who was the editor of that mag who wiped.I'll send him an e-mail if you want me to.

Good to know, I like that rule.

Ok, its a LITTLE more understandable when it happens in a tourney, but it doesnt mean i dont like it. I get really mad when people do stuff like that and blatently wipe in rec, like you said, its only for fun.
