    Ya'ar (pirates say that),

Well, Shartley has made some excellent points.. and made me worried now. It seems generally this forum favours nekkid women in their billboards, so, my #22 appears to be out of the running. I designed it as proffesionally as I could.. But, meh. Lots of excellent entries in this, and I want to make sure some one gets a picture of the real billboard this summer!

I'm just wondering, is there going to be any looking into people who may have opened new AO and email accounts to up their own votes? Should there be a limit to the number of posts or the date they joined AO to be able to vote or something? How can the possibility be countered?

In my opinion, #46 is the biggest eye-catcher. It needs a little layout work, but the concept, in my opinion, IS effective.

Do I think it will run? No. It's way too racy, I don't think Tom would use it.

But do I think it's the best concept piece? Yeah, I think skirts came up with an awesome idea. So I voted for him. He deserves the win whether the board is "useable" or not.

Effective in what sense? Effective as pleasing the population of a paintball forum, or effective as presenting AGD as a professional company, with a message to show to paintball players, and non paintball players alike?

Its effective in one of those cases.

I could throw a nude woman on a billboard and put "AGD" in the corner, that would sure catch some eyes. Hell, it might even win me an RTpro because it will convince horny teenagers that someone who posts nekkid wimmins must be a cool guy. My aim in #23 was to create what would be an effective billboard that you could put on the side of a road and have people read in 5 seconds or less and still get the AGD name and a catchy slogan across.

I personally think that the ones who deserve to have a shot at winning this contest are #3, #4, #5, #6, #16, #19, #20, #21, #22, #23, #28, #31, #32, #34, #39, #40, #41 and #58 because I feel that they would be effective as billboards on the side of the road. Among the rest there are a lot of good ads, but they belong more in a magazine than on a billboard. If any of those listed above wins, I will feel that the contest was a success and didn't just cater to those who can create a product that a bunch of teenage males can stare at and decide it's just a really cool idea to vote for the guy who submitted a half-naked woman.

Adam, the 16 year old male.

              Thanks Kamikaze,

Mine was #16, I kind of thought since I didn't use a half naked woman. I might be out of contention.

But it is nice to hear that at least you thought one of my ideas was worthy enough.

              Thanks again.

Doesn't AGD have old posters with hot women on them?

                  Yes, they DO!

But they were also fully clothed.

Shartley - Sorry, I didn't know this was fully clothed.

As for being effective, its effective to catch peoples eye. Do you look at billboards? I don't, unless there is something to catch my eye. A half naked woman would definitely catch the eye of over 90% of the people who are going to IAO. Once you have their attention, they'll see your logo. Then your billboard has succeeded in making them remember you name.

my idea i didnt get to make in time.

I had a couple of ideas for the Billboard contest, but I just didnt have the time to photoshop them.

The first was an amish guy holding a mag (with a big grin), with the words "irrisistable technology" "EMAG"

The second had a farmer walking out of his house with an EMAG, with the caption "Martha, Im going out back to paint the barn".. (the farmer has this maniacle look on his face)

man, I wish I could have done them in time, visually they are funnier in my head.

Yeah, the Mormons are gonna come and bomb it

Sex sells. WDP hasn't regretted all the sex they spew, they roll in the money they take in.

It'd be a risky move, and I wouldn't want to be the one to make the decision, but I have a feeling if it was done right, Tom wouldn't regret it. The one skirts did was a little too racy, he was barely covering anyway, it would need some brainstorming to do properly.

Hey speaking as the Mormon AO representative I resent that comment. We don't believe in blowing things up or forcing our ideas or morals on others. But I personally will be sad if Tom were to use that as a billboard. It is not just the picture it is the text stating I want to see the woman and the hopper is just getting in the way. It is like the wet T-shirt contest gone bad and everyone gets nakid.
                            Just my opinion though.

I don't know why everyone is getting upset about the naked girl behind the hopper. Yes, she is naked behind it. You can't see anything though! Everyone is naked under their clothes...

Don't forget about the sexy picture of Amy Schreier holding the emag.

                              Sex sells. Get over it!

Personally, resorting to naked women to sell your product seems a bit low.

"We lack the creativity, intellect, and abilty to think of anything intelligent.. so we slapped some boobies and an E-Mag on this billboard space we paid handsomely for. We like boobies, you should like boobies.. Buy an E-Mag"

Sure boobies grab attention, but you also want to sell your product, not just take someones attention for a couple seconds while they are driving down the road. A good product doesn't need boobies to be sold. Creative, smart, advertising is all it needs.

Sure WDP, and many others use women to sell products. Look through APG, or any other magazine. Almost everyone has a girl. Look though again, they are generally (as with anything, there are exceptions) cheaply designed ads, and generally stores or smaller companies relying on boobies to help sell their product. AGD has grown, and is producing and will continue to produce quality products. AGD is well past their boobie phase and is on to bigger and better things. This billboard proves it.
