    absolutely correct!

The Tramp has hit the nail on the head. You would have to completely redesign the "mag" body. Not only would you have to put threads in, you would have to manipulate the breach to conform to a threaded barrel setup. Detents would have to be milled in somewhere also. IMHO this is just way to much work for AGD to pursue. Moving forward, I say yes to threaded cocker barrels, but no need to redesign the original. The only bad thing with the mag barrel is if you are a dolt (done it myself) and jump the track putting the barrel on or taking it off. You have to take the trigger frame and valve off the body to get it off.

Yes, the new extremes will use cocker threaded barrels. Although there are those who prefer the current twist lock 'mag barrels (Tom included), FAR more people would rather have cocker threaded barrels.

Well, Tom showed off an idea for a new body for the mini/automag with threaded barrels.

If AGD stopped using the twist lock, the automag would have to be alot bigger! Think about it, there would have to be a breech, and threads, that would add about 1-2 inches in length to the gun! we all know size is important

umm no.. it would stay internal. I've been thinking of a solution, im my area they stoped selling mag barrels. i was goping to build a mag to cocker conversion.. you screw a cocker barrel into a small mag twistlock. it is a twist lock with cocker threats, yes the gun would be 1" to 1 1/2" longer.. big whoop.

Cocker threaded barrels just so happen to NOT have the breech integrated into the barrel. The mag barrel is more compact.

The reason the sfl and extreme emags have cocker threads is simple, this is MY opinion in why there doing it .
With the current T-Lock it is 100% impossible to set up a anti chop eye to work in in, think about it. Now they needed to choose a barrel with threads, they chose cocker because its BY FAR AND AWAY the most common used threads and easiest to find.

That why, and i doubt normal mags will be changin.

The cocker threaded barrels also hold in the warp/vert feed modules.

The gun is 1/8" of a game that is a FOOT long!

Yeah but cocker threads are more accurate!

(I actually saw this posted in the PBreview for the sfl or something... ahahah)

                            uh... what?

I'm pretty sure the xtreme e-mag will at least have modules to accept classic barrels.

I've seen a pic of a xtreme with a classic twist lock barrel.

Actually Gotenks, I have seen it too.
What it is, is a mag barrel machined to have cocker threads.

And where did you see that?

You might have seen this picture. But that is a mag barrel that has been chopped and milled with cocker threads.

That barrel was an old mag barrel which they put on their new CNC lathe and cut down to be a cocker barrel... that's why you can just make out a mag o-ring on it :)
                                It is still cocker threads.
