hmm... call me dumb, but I love a challenge! thats why I shoot a cocker. I LOVE the simplicity of a mag, but I simply ADORE the complexity of a cocker! I think they are fun to own, and shoot... and I have owned all different types of both guns... from the lowly stock versions, to the almighty E-Mag and Race-Cocker...
First upgrade I would do on a cocker would be: Trigger frame, Pneu reg, Inline reg, 3-way, Ram, then bolt, valve, whatever else... with a barrel in there somewhere as well... The frame just sucks in my opinion, an adjustable pneu reg is also a must, if you get anything other than a palmers, your a moron. I have heard good things about the tickler reg, and Macdev's, but I'll still say that palmers is the industry standard. Inline reg is good for increasing the consistancy, for that I would reccomend a Macdev Gladiator, or a AKA sidewinder. The glad is a little cheaper, and works WONDERS (I have one on my RACE), but I have heard that if they get dirty, they lose their effectivness... but keep in mine I have only HEARD that, it has never happened to me. The sidewinder is just as good, and has the ability to go from short, medium, and large sizes, to suit your play style, or dropforward length.
As far as the 3-way goes, I don't really know! I know wgp is making a good one, along with the Belsales hollowpoint, but if you were to ask 5 different 3-way owners, then you would get 5 different answers as to what was the best. As for the Ram, The STO ram is the cheapest, and most dependable, but if you would go for the Palmer ram, it is GUARANTEED for 1 million cycles... and if you can get that, then you shoot more paint than necessary! The freeflow ram is also good, and it comes with the bulletproof lifetime warrentee!
Or you can be like me, and replace EVERY SINGLE PART of your gun, and have an extremely cool AKA Racegun, and an alright stock cocker.... except that I sold the parts as soon as I replaced them, so I only have the extremely cool one... dammit!
But also, let me just say that the ONLY reason I still own that Racegun is because no one would buy the damn thing! I tried selling for about 3 weeks before school started, and no one wanted it, I had an older bodystyle on it then, and I don't think they were into it... but the Day after I put my E-Mag for sale, I had literally 5 offers sitting on my door... it was sad though, to see the gun go
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask, I'll do my best to answer them!
