    Having the best gun.. not wanting all the attention?

    I play at my field and ive heard people say some pretty stupid stuff to me:

    Wow look at that gun, I bet that thing shoots a lot harder

    or

    wow I hope i dont get shot by that thing on the field..

    Like I dont mind attention but seriously I dont like people asking all the time to see my gun, or having to watch it so no one takes it. It gets kinda crummy after a while.

    lol, its funny though u wear camo ur a newb, u wear a jersey and ur pro.

          Interesting... i am guessing that you play rec ball a fair amount(woods ball). To me, it seems that the people who wear the bright blue jerseys, that are crawling through the woods "trying" to hide are really the more newbish. I mean, how hard is it to see somebody when they are wearing the complete opposite color of their environment?

          This is a little off topic but, would you consider the Americans in the war "newbs" because they DIDN'T dress in bright red uniforms and stand out in the open(amoung other things).

          I wear camo, and i wear it because it CAMOFLAUGES me in the woods. If i wanted to be shot up, i would wear a bright blue jersey.

            This is funny... really.. the only time I see people wear a jersey on the woods field is if they are killing time.. waiting for the speedball group to show up.

            Who really cares about woods ball... I mean... don't get me wrong, but if you want that... go to the tippman forums..

            Speedball is the life. If you don't think so, then you haven't really played speedball!!!

            He is right... I will take newbies who have never even shot a paintball gun before, and put a jersey on them and let them use one of my four guns... and they will get picked up on a team FASTER then most. If you look like you know what your doing (Jersey, Pods, Clean Gun) then people will treat you like your good. Simple fact.

              Maybe you can put a box around your gun so all that is sticking out is grip and barrel... then no one knows what gun u have and say its just a MAG-nifiscent gun!

                war

                Americans vs. British

                They did that stupid stuff where they stood 100 meters away and fired... why would u have to wear camo when ur enemy is in hte direct open of ur field of view..

                Back to paintball

                Camo - I can see people running 30 feet away wearing camo. if they were in prone or didnt move yes it would be effective but trust me jerseys dont make much of a difference..

                and i was reffering to speedball

                    My point is, will iit be easier to see somebody that same person if they are wearing some sort of jersey? If you have anywhere close to a good eye, you WILL be able to see that same person at 2 to 3 times that distance.

                      Thanks Shartley, beat me to it... :)

                      I wear camo in the woods and wear sweet gear on the speedball field. one isnt better than the other, I enjoy both. With 12 years playing, I am hardly a newbie, and dont put anyone down for playing woods, especially since that was the origination of what we have today.

                          boomerfoxtrot i enjoy playing in the woods just as much as your typical speed ball field i wear a jersey and dont shoot a tippmann i either shoota matrix or a hyperframed mag. they both have thier faults and if you dotn think so you are very narrow minded, but i would never say speed ball is better then woods ball not the speed ball i see at 95% of all fields i visit

                            Camo=Noob

                            Jersey=Advanced player

                            These are the normal steriotypes in paintball.

                            Back in the day when I used rentals and camo, i wasnt looked at as a desired player. But now that I'm a Dye whore with the pods/jersey/pants and proteus, all of a sudden rec'ers kinda fear me and I get more respect from the good players. who knows....

                            Looks makes a big differance in paintball. How would you react to a guy in camo in a big tournament? Or like ME...The guy in the woods in the bright yellow Dye Jersey. Im not trying to hide and ambush, Im there to shoot ppl. I prefer speedball, but its not always available. :/

                            peace

                              I think it would be hella funny if someone (just for a laugh) wore a guille suit to a sup'air game.

                              Even better... if he dressed like an inflatable bunker! HA!
