Having the best gun.. not wanting all the attention?

as with most things.. some people forget the number one reason for playing paintball... having fun. Dogging on people because they prefer to play x ball vs. y ball is about as silly as making fun of people because they drive x car vs b car. People like different things... simple fact... and you know, some people may be very good but just can't afford good guns or what not.

I wear camo pants regardless of if I am playing in the woods or speedball... because I got it for free... simple as that...

I knew someone was going to complain about the special olympics pic. I thought it brought the point across very well and I have to admit I laughed. How come if something is even remotely PI people have to complain about it these days?

Good question!

And people forget that nowhere does it say you have the right to NOT be offended. I also find that most often those that get so offended by things (and make a lot of noise about it) are often the ones who should look closer at their own actions........

I will continue to be PI.... and if the world does not like it they can "Kiss This!" I think it is better to be REAL and HONEST than to be to PC that nothing you say really means anything any more........... too many folks like that now days.

We play a lot of woods and like wearing camo and speedball is fun and all so instead of buying a jersey we wear our camo..

I actually got the whole thing..

BDU, tactical vest, Boonie Hat, Boots

pretty sweet

but i do have a Dye Core jersey i use a lot 2

Even tho i have people come out to my field that are considered pros ( what is a pro anyway eh? ) they must suck to.

Woodsball is awesome and thanks for the support from people that play woodsball. I like it all. Thats one greatness of paintball. So many diffrent variations...

I really don't see the need for an argument. I personally wear a black or similar dark colored jersey for everything, as well as black or green cargos. Camo, it seems, only really works when one is standing still. Hell, at a large scenario game, my team won MVT, yes wearing those JT "hotrod" jerseys that are bright blue and red! Its up to whoever is wearing it. I personally don't see the need for camo (except my old-skool renegade camo/jersey!!), as in one form or another I can almost always see somebody coming. Once in a while I'm caught by suprise, but most of the time I can't see someone is not because of camo, but because of line of sight.

I play speedball mostly, but I've been known to break out my woods game once in a while, and its fun! Paintball is paintball, just have fun.

When I first started playing paintball, all I played was woodsball. Infact, I hated speedball. I hated not being about to see what was infront of me without being shot at.
There is this fear to over come before you can really enjoy speedball. Was for me anyway.

I have NEVER seen anyone BUNKER another player in woodsball. What is he to do, wrap around the tree...

To me... woodsball sucks. It's all this "long ball" shooting. I like being 10 feet from the other player when I get shot. It's a rush. I don't like playing army, and running around the woods, if I did.. .I would go join up.

My views, and my thoughts on this subject are just that. MINE! If you don't like them... then go kick a tree really really hard! I don't care.

The guy was expressing how he hates all eyes on him when he is at the field. I understand, I have to show my guns off too when I'm there... people love the Z-Grip.. ... as far as pros and all goes... I don't see many pro team, practices on a woodsball fields.

I always love this....yes speedball makes me afraid. I am so afraid of being bunkered and getting welts. Funny thing I played football, lacrosse, and do martial arts and wasn't afraid of that up close and personal contact but I am really afraid of getting bunkered in speedball. I am really afraid of those little balls.

I'm being sarcastic of course. It is a game! Not a right of courage. I have been shot up close in both woodsball and speedball. There is nothing "special" about it. It is just part of the game. Trust me. I like both games but those that prefer woods ball are not "afraid" of playing speedball. It is just a personal preference thing. Sheesh I wasn't going to get involved in this debate anymore but the claim that woods players might be afraid of speedball got my "panties in a knot".

Boomerfoxtrot....I don't think that anyone has a problem with you vigorously defending your opinion. That is what boards are for after all. If all we did was agree on the boards and talk about how great AGD products are it would be boring. Just be prepared for others to vigorously defend theirs

In the end this debate has the same conclusion every time. We agree to disagree and there are no hard feeling. Both sides admit that we had fun flaming each other and making fun of each other but it was just all in fun. It is a game we are debating after all....

Maybe the same way others laugh when they read mine. The TRUTH is... paintball is fun, no matter what you play.
I don't care if you like woods, I have many friends who like woods. BUT non the less, I'm going to try and get you on the speedball field... just like you will try to get me on the woods field. If you like one type of the game better then the other, then you will want to play it more. You will want your friends to play it with you.. I like speedball, hyperball, supair, air fields, and other small 3-10 man fields. Some don't like it... for whatever reason, I didn't like it at first cause I didn't want to be hit at close range. I'm know I'm not the only one.. but now, I don't care. As far as woods go.. I have a bad knee so running around woods is kinda dumb for me. Let me just step in a hole.. and then I wouldn't be playing at all.

I think what the problem was/is has nothing to do with you defending your opinion, its the way you express it.

I read it as "speedball is the best, woods/rec ball sucks, and so do those who play it".

You have to remember there are alot of people who enjoy rec ball.

If I said "speedball is only played by punk kids who have no attention span and can only enjoy fast games with bright colors and flashy toys". I'd be ripped apart by those who I offended.

If you can understand that, than you can understand the issue people had with your post. If you can't, oh well...
