I'm VERY serious. I've already made hotel reservations, and am planning to drive from Atlanta on Wed Night. I have gotten approval from work, so I'm good to go! I sooooo can't wait.

Now, fielding the teams could prove to be sticky. Right now (counting from the two threads) we have 6 players interested, but aside from myself and hardr0ck68, seriousness is unknown. I'm sure Load and Capo are serious, but I can't vouch for the others.

                Current interested roster:
                Jonesie (ME!)
                hardr0ck
                Load
                Capo
                jeffremiller
                dayspring

That's 6 for a 5-man tournament. If we get 4 more, that's two teams (assuming everyone ends up going). Does anyone have any suggestions on forming teams aside from 1st come, 1st serve? I know that I'd like to play on the best team possible.

Let's get some suggestions on forming a 5-man with 6 people...

                  A) Recruit 4 more people. Probably the simplest thing to do. There HAVE to be AO members willing to head down there. I mean, you have Rocko and Myself looking to come from Jersey & New York.

                  B) Are they doing 7 man at all?

And I call whatever team Hardr0ck68's on. We play well together. I guess I should start looking into this.

I'm extremely serious about going. It's about a 5.5 hour drive for me. We need to see about getting a hotel room or 2 to split. I'm prerfectly happy sleeping on a floor to make that bit cheaper. We just need to make sure any hotels have the free shuttles running to the ferry to cross into New Orleans for the parties that night.

                    Oh and all this crap....

                    Name: Jeff
Years playing: 4 or and on, last 2 pretty frequently
                    Position: Back or mid
tournys: 5-6 local 3 and 5 man. Always on a throw together last minute team
                    Major tournys: none
Marker: slingshot with SFL e-mag for back-up

Put me on a good team so the others can pull up my slack.

My girlfriend is going to tag along (going was HER idea!) and I already have a room with two doubles @ the Best Western listed on the Alario Center website.

Hey Load (Jeff ) how long does it take to get from B'Ham to Atlanta? If it takes you 5.5 hours to get to NO in a car that leaves B'Ham travelling @ 80 miles an hour, how long would it take me to travel in a car heading west from Atlanta travelling at 80mph?

Let's get this rolling. Unfortunately I won't be able to make it to SC on the 9th (STUPID Accounting test!), but I'd be willing to head to Alabama for a day of paintball...?

I'm actually about 1.5 hours North of B'ham. It takes me around 3 hours to get to Atlanta mainly becaus there's no direct route. I have to head to B'ham and then hook left, almost running a 90* angle. Yes, I drive waaaaayyy to fast.

I would guess you have a 1.5-2 hour drive to B'ham from Atlanta depending on where you are.

I would be willing to play as high as Novice, but I'll let the rest of the team help make that decision. Sounds like we'll definately have a good time!
