Actually I was thinking about it, and I think the above idea is very possible...since the RTP's will soon be coming with ULE's and stock barrels, and theyll still cost $650 or so, take off the $300 Xvalve and slap in a classic, charge $400 or so for it, and you've got one hell of a competitor for the stock cocker

Inn my area at least 2003 HAS been the year of the mag. At my local feild at the beginning of the year people used many random guns, mostly cockers and spyders. But now all but one or two newbs has a mag. The reason is thhat the older and more experienced players the people kids look up to use mags. Trust me when a newb sees someone he/she respects or looks up to carrying a mag they will seriously consider getting one.

to tell the truth I dont really want a "year of the mag". what i want is a "year of agd making a lot of money so they can put more money into r&d and advertising, generating more money so they can put more into r&d and making even better products for even cheaper"

MAG COUNTRY
You have to understand that there has always been a STRONG mag following up here in southern wi, northern illinois. Lots of people around here have shot mags for a long time. Of course you still dont see as many with them there have always been a lot! It has not really been the year of the mag of here like you put it, its just the same old story that keeps on going :)Taking a long needed leave of the sport to finish school and tour the country

Actually... I'm starting to see more mags as well.
I think I only saw maybe TWO mag users at the MMG this year (Datapimp being one of them,) But heck, two months later, at the Tippmann World Challenge, I Saw a couple of classics, a mini, Datapimp's again, an E-mag, and another RT Pro.
BUT.
Let me say this, I shot an Excalibur at the AKALMP booth, and saw someone using one on the field, and I'm VERY intrigued. High Efficency, Quiet, and boy, is that trigger WALKABLE. If only they weren't heavy and expensive.Automag RT-Pro

The GenE site says it best:
Newsweek declares -- "2003, Year of the Matrix." They also mention something about a movie..Comment
