    QUINCYMASSGUY:

I see by your post count you are new to AO. So welcome to the family. Once you come to frequent the board more ofen you will find that Tom has been kind enough (or cruel enough) to let us in on the new things AGD is working on. We had been made aware of level 10 before the general public, and we even got a price break on the first batch. We were also made aware of the coming of the X-valve.

I think the pricing on the X-valve is fair. It is aimed at the thousands of players out there with level 7 AIR valves. It allows them to buy 2 of the best upgrades for their mags in a package deal. For the many players who already have level 10, I'm sure you could find a buyer for your used level 10, as it is a less expensive upgrade.

You unfortunately got hit with new information, but it was here on the boards, and had been for awhile. You can be sure Tom was not trying to scam you out of $80, it just the way things happen.

If you want the latest info on upcoming AGD products, this is the place to be.

      Merry Christmas To All

I do see the points you guys are making and although I have been a loyal Airgun Designs customer for a while, I have viewed this board only occassionally and have never seen information about the Xvalve becoming available shortly after the Level 10 was released, but if you did then I do believe it was here and it is unfortunate but also my fault that I missed it. As I said, I think AGD is the best company out there, it is unfortunate (and kind of disturbing) that companies like Tippman and Kingman have begun to be more popular than the Mag series, as although they are both "functional" markers they are nowhere near the quality of any of the Mags but Mags are still underrated by many, even dealers. I will always stick by AGD and was hoping to upgrade my Minimag gradually to be on par with the Xmag. If anyone has seen information about the Aluminium, Autococker-thread barrel bodies being made to fit a Minimag grip, sear, etc, please let me know as I would love to do that. I already looked at using a Micromag body but I don't think PTP has the high level of quality AGD does, and I always trust AGD's customer service. Hopefully, my Level 10 will sell on EBay and you can be sure I'll buy the Xvalve immediately after. And there is some sense that the Level 10 is available to Level 7 customers who do not want the Retro Valve. Again, I mean no disrespect to Mr. Kaye or AGD, I merely wished to illustrate the unfortunate circumstances I was left in. If anything, this shows they stick by their most loyal customers as you are the ones who got the information before all others, and you better believe I will be part of that group from now on. Happy Holidays to all.

All I can say is Thank You and Merry Christmas AGD! The customer service I recieved from Marcia was worth ALMOST comforting as the look on my Son's face when he opened the box with the Emag in it. It was a feeling that broke my heart. Very hard to describe....
You have made our Christmas AGD, and Thank you all.

          X-valve for minimags

I am definitely ordering an X-valve once I can unload the Lvl 10 (no bids yet for it which is surprising), you all made some fair points so I wanted to ask: Will any special setups be required for Minimags this time? My current valve has the input for the air line on the right side and the hopper also sits on the right side of the gun (I always get confused with whether its Powerfeed Right Or Left If It Feeds From The Right Side And Drops In On The Left). Does this one require a special valve setup or is ordering the one currently available on the site fine? Which Mags will require a special order for the Xvalve?

judging from the picture in the store it looks like most will have an inlet on the right side, if you're looking down the barrel. you shouldn't have any problems, but i base this assumption on the picture alone.

i'm facing the same problem w/ my mini, though i know i need a reverse one, but if the input is on the right(looking down the gun i presume), i assume you're fine, because that means you have a hopper right (as in if you look down the left side of the gun, the powerfeed would be in your way, this set up is more for lefty shooters though) and with what you're saying, a hopper left, means that the hopper is slightly to the left of the gun, and the balls feed diagnole down fromthe left(or dia. down to the right), and then into the breech, so if i am understanding you correctly, you don't need anything special. i know i need a reverse option, and i have a hopper left, but if that confused you at all on my explination, just check the link in my sig, there are pics of my gun there(there's one where i'm holding it, and the camera is looking down the gun, and you can see what i mean about the hose), so if yours is set up like mine, then you need the reverse as well. or you can PM me on here, or IM me w/ AIM, TheJester493, hope this was of help

                VALVE

Checked it out Jester. Nice gun, I really like the finish. I am the opposite of yours so I'm fine I guess. I know it's the reverse of whats normal but I kind of like it that way I do plan on switching to a centerfeed if bodies like the Xmag become available to install on minimags. We'll see. And I just got a high enough bid on the Lvl 10 so this boy is going Xvalve baby!

Tunaman, your post gave me goosebumps and brought tears to my eyes. I'm so happy we were able to help you out and bring that look to your son's eyes. I'm passing your thanks along to Jon (who reminded me to call you), Brian (who pulled the order as a rush), Tony (who shipped it as a last-minute rush) and Dave Z, whose guys got the valves built just in time. This was really a team effort!

Well this is the first that I have heard of this X-Valve.What is the real differance between the X-valve and a Retro. So far I know it is aluminum not stainless.I also know it has a level 10 on it from the start. Is the x-valve faster, or more reliable, or is it weight.I could be wrong on all of those ideas, I dont know. For all I know it is just cheeper to make them out of aluminum.I would also like to know if the Retro valves are still avalible, and if the price is going to change on them.
Just remember your moms credit card can't but you talent.

go here, and you'll find some good info on it

                        go here

but you basicly have everything you need to know, it's an aluminum retro w/ a lvl 10 already installed for you, or you could also look at it this way, besides the weight, you're getting a retro valve, w/ a lvl 10 bolt for 25 bucks. but the major differences are the weight, cost, and the fact they have a lvl 10 installed on them

                              scan:
the email i received today for my return for the go retro stated that i could keep my old bolt and spring. Just send the 2 halves of the valve in.
yes you can use your intelliframe. The RT intelliframe is for old school RT's that need a bigger hole in back for the banjo bolt.
You should be good to go

hmmm ok... i guess this is good...

i was at the local paintball shop about a month ago, and was really considering gettin the lvl 10 (and installation) they had that would have cost me about 100...

i was still thinking of getting this new xvalve... (i have two different valves, for my two mags, and was thinking of selling one gun, with stock valve, and sending in my old 4 star vavle)

would it be more worth my while to sell the 4 star valve on ebay? (dont really know what the going rate is...)

i also have a phase II bolt...

so the biggest advantages are: near zero ball breakage, and super fast recharge?

just want to make sure i got this right before i drop over 200 on it!

                                thanks guys
