I won't choose either. A fundamental thing you're forgetting is that the emag ISN'T the perfect gun for every player, just like the angel ISN'T the perfect gun.

Different players play differently with different markers. Say that 10x fast.

Now, realize that just because YOU all think the emag is the whipped cream topping of life, it may not suit the other 99% of the world that plays paintball.

This in no way should be considered a bash against any marker, but more a bash against preconceived notions on what is the "best" gun sold today.

Try them ALL. If the emag is still the best shootin iron in your fire, then KEEP it. Just don't tell someone else that it's the only gun they'll ever need to buy. Maybe they're a better player with a cocker, or with a spyder. What does it matter, if your team wins because that player played at his or her best?

C&C extreme is a couple ounces lighter than a Fly II Angel, so figure how much that is compared to an IR3

I own both the stock Emag and stock 2002 LCD.

Performance: Prefer E-mag. E-mag shoots straight and flat with all kinds of field paint (even with the stock barrel). Angel needs really tight bore barrel match to get near similar performance - with my normal barrel match, the balls arch noticeably. Rate of fire for me (if I had a blade trigger on the E-mag) is about the same.

Feel: Angel. lighter, but more importantly well balanced. E-mag grip is flat, thick and large (better on the C&C), but Angel wins this one. Angel has different trigger options (single trigger, different trigger styles).

Design: Angel is easier to clean inside and out. Emag is built tough, easy to service non-electronic components.

Service: AGD hands down has the No.1 customer service.

Reliablity: E-mag. My stock angel came with a fried circuit board and leaking ram right out of the box. Got it replaced and works fine for now (fingers crossed). E-mag option to go manual/hybrid is pure genius.

Bottomline: If I could buy option parts for my E-mag (single trigger frame, double finger blade trigger, lighter, comfortable trigger frame, molded grips, lighter body rail, twist barrel) then I wouldn't need the angel would be a distant second.

In an Emag vs Angel opinion or debate or whatever you want to call it, WDP made some false claims in the latest issue of PB2X (oct. 2002), and I was extremely shocked at what they claimed, ESPECIALLY with the release of level 10. Here are the 2 things they claimed about the IR3:

1-WDP says "The IR3 has COPS (Crystal Optical Pinch Sensor), this is also patented and is the only non-optical anti-chop system on the market today, COPS has no external components or wiring. We all know this is not true, Level 10 is a completely mechanical anti-chop system also.

2-"The COPS is allows users to crank the ROF up to 20 balls per second....There is nothing out there that shoots as fast as the IR3." WHAT?! They CANT be serious! The emagnum has been shown to shoot 30 balls per second (if a loader could feed that fast), and the emag itself is shown in the level 10 video to shoot 20 balls a second easily. This drives me crazy when companies claim these kinds of things.

I think I would email WDP about this but I dont think it would make a difference, they won't listen because they dont have to. This is why people think they have the best gun -- they dont know that companies are lying to them.
