make the snatch an add-on if you want, or maybe a "second" version, but otherwise I wouldn't suggest making it part of the original releas of the gripframe.

We don't need to recess the field strip screw do we? If it sticks out, it could be used as a "snatch" grip. I mean, you probably have enough room to get your finger behind it so why not just do that?

I think that recessing the field strip screw is kinda pointless for a couple reasons:

              1. I know that I like that I can strip that screw by hand. If it were to become recessed, you would need to use an allen key everytime you wish to strip it. I feel this would be more of an inconvinience than helpfull.

              2. Many people wear gloves. Since I've started wearing gloves, no more screw-scratched hands. It's that simple. Also with my Z-Grip I find that my hand is seldom, if not never, in contact with the field strip screw. I see the Y-Grip being the same way. Think of how you'd hold it, hand slanted down.. not up.

              3. Wouldn't recessing the screw mean the screw would be a different length? This would now make a very common piece non-compatable between AGD markers equipped/non equipped with the Y-Grip.

You wouldn't need to make the screw 100% recessed. Just shave a little material off of the sides and have the knurling on the sides of the screw stick out. The top of the screw is flush or recessed with the material in that area. Then, you'll still be able to get the strip screw out of there with your fingers.

Granted, most people do wear gloves and the angle of the grip is such that there should be little to no contact between the screw and skin/leather, but it would give the frame a more finished look. That is my only complaint about the looks of the I-frame. The strip screw hanging out there makes me think that astetics were forgotten when they got to the back of the frame.

As for length of the screw, no, you don't have to shorten it. Keep it the same length, just thicken up the material at the back. The recessed area remains the same thickness, it's the area flush with the top of the screw that is thicker.

Don't recess it... Just think about it, you can use an unrecessed field strip screw just like a snatch grip!

I like the new version, but I don't get the big deal with the snatch grip. It's just added metal if you ask me, doesn't really serve a purpose.... I can't see myself holding a gun like that, it'd be uncomfortable.

                        Comfort Dynamics:

My only remaining concern with this design is how far you will have to spread your fingers to place two on the grip and two on the trigger.

Picture the frame in your head and try to get your hand on it. Now repeat after me, "Live Long and Prosper".

The same problem exists in the Z-Grip which causes most people to hold it with only there Pinkie on the frame, ring and middle fingers on the trigger, and pointer against the side of the mainbody. You can get away with this on the Z because your palm supports so much weight directly. With the Y I see it as a potential comfort problem.

That is is the reason why on my drawing I placed the guard very close to the trigger and at an angle parallel to the wrist.

I agree with Patron God of Pirates

I like single tirggers, they make it easyer to hold on to the gun. When im running down the hill at my field i cannot even think about getting hit by the other team all im think is please dont let me fall...and go home limping. I can't see how the grip will be comfortable as it is. There is not place to hold the gun...with the doubble trigger you only have your thumb and 2 fingers to hold your gun, tank, hopper, paint. In the pic I am posting i present my idea on how to fix the problem of where to hold the gun, by using the cup between your thumb and index finger. Just a thought.

ok heres my views, hear me out:
the snatch grip is a great idea. i wouldnt hold it while sprinting to the 50, id use it for just carrying around in between games. when not playing, most people carry their gun down at their side right? well with the angle of the y-grip, carrying it at your side holding the grip will make the barrel face more behind you and the tank would be pointing more forward, and i think that would be unbalanced and very uncomfortable. i also think that the original snatchgrip design is the best, i dont see how that L shaped one would be better, it looks uncomfortable. and since so many people disagree, i think itd be the best idea to make the snatch grip an add-on, to please people who do and dont want it. thanks for listening, i hope i made sense
My parents wont give me $3,300 to spend on paintball which would make me the happiest person in the world, but they will spend $3,300 on me for braces for a year and a half which will just make me miserable... i just dont get it
