I took it to Southeastern Annodizing in Clanton, AL. 30 minutes south of Birmingham. It cost me $35. Took it in on Wednesday had it back on Friday morning. Maybe could have found a cheaper deal but couldn't have found better service.
Just back from the annodizer, warp fed sluggo with ULE rail

Wow, I don't know what all that means but it's way cool!Originally posted by toysallround
I filled in the original keyways with a tig welder.
Rebored the inside on a lathe.
Turned down the outside on a lathe, all except where the new threaded hole to hold the body to the frame needed to be.I turned the body to the angle I wanted the feed to be and figure out where the new mounting hole needed to be. I had to use a mill to mill the body down around the new mounting hole and threaded it.I milled out the rail to accomodate the side feed. The ball detent is in the same place as on the original sluggo, however with the body turned it is now underneath.Comment

sweet looking rig
Very impressive. I guess that gives those looking for warp-feed sluggo bodies and option to explore. Thanks for the pics.

You're right.
What was once the bottom is now the side. Didn't have enough metal to do anything with. Maybe next time.
Ball detent is in(side). Body done, for now. Time to play!!
