I just don't get the hype on Timmy's I guess. I'm not trying to be a Timmy-Hater, because for me it's "to each his own" but I just can't figure out why they are so popular from a looks standpoint. They look like a slightly more irritated version of a Spyder to me. Honestly, some of the models I've seen on Bob Long's website look as though they'd be carried at Wal-Mart right next to the Brass Monkey stuff, not selling for a grand. I guess if you took the reg and barrel off the Lasoya version it looks ok, but I'd still rather spend the money on an X-Mag or an Angel any day of the week.

What I find funny about the Dragon Timmy is, to me it looks like the World Wrestling Entertainment of the paintball world...or maybe a monster truck rally. It's too glitzy, has so much milling and stuff on it it looks cheap, and the chains and skulls and stuff just scream "I'm trying to look tough...buy me." Hey, if the Timmy is you're thing more power to ya, I would just like to see a better look to them. I do like Bob Long's skull logo though, even if it reminds me of Stone Cold Steve Austin everytime (not necissarily a bad thing...SCSA is entertaining as hell ).

What I've never liked about Timmy's is the feel. Of all the high-end guns they feel & look the cheapest. Part of it I guess is the fact that they were originally based on the Millenium, which is literally a spyder clone. Although the body is now made specifically for the timmy it, and the grips still feel very cheap. ICD has this problem as well, but the newer Bushy's feel a lot more solid.

I don't want a gun that can be mistaken for Kingman's latest in looks & feel. If I wanted a 15bps spyder, well, I'd buy an electro-spyder.

As to the Z, well, It's a GZ, without half the nice bits of the GZ (45 frame). Still wouldn't buy one, I'd get an Angel for the same money (And I'm not even a big Angel fan, nice gun, does not justify the current price).

Check out GZ's current gun if you want an Incredible gun. The NY Xtreme Matrix is killer, best looking Matrix, and rediculously fast, and has an Eye to boot.

I like the milling, and the fade. But i think they should do something new with the reg. It's been the same thing forever. You have a fancy gun there, but a plain looking reg. Comeon Bob make a cool looking reg.

Look obviously everyone has their own tastes. But to say an Intimidator is a glorified spyder is absolutely ridiculous. And that's all I have to say about that.

Well considering its built off of surplus Millenium bodies that shouldn't really suprise you should it?

Timmy is a Timmy is a Timmy... May be nice markers, but aside from the variations in milling... nothing worth pining over IMO.

let it be said one more time, timmys haven't used millenium bodies since the classics
                  and remember mags are blenders

I really thought there were LESS IGNORANT people on AO than on PBN.

Well, at least they haven't brought up how it compares to the X-Mag. Or should I say inferior to it.

Not to flame, but lets think about this logically:

First timmy, built off milled out millenium body.

Newer timmies, same design, minus the extra reg... hense, still based off of an aftermarket spyder body...

I still think they look like stacked blowbacks, and still don't think they're anything special. There's my opinion, deal with it.

here's some interesting reading if you can get through all the pointless stuff.
it's not based off the spider body, it was just what was used for the prototype because that's what he had sitting around the shop. yes it may be stacked tube, but that's like saying an angel is based on a spider. If you want to become educated, read the link, if not well lets just say that's not very AO of you.
