I still think they look like stacked blowbacks, and still don't think they're anything special. There's my opinion, deal with it.
Deal with it? That's the great thing about opinions; ppl can ignore them. Especially when the contribute to absolute nothingness and are a waste of time to read. That's my opinion, but hey, you don't have to deal with it if you don't want.

Besides, I would have to say that Timmys look and shoot just a little bit better than a spyder, aftermarket or not. (that's an understatement for those tuning in)

i dont care either way, ill never own an intimidator, but dont shun anyone who does, to each his own. i did look at one for @15 minutes a few weeks ago and i must say that they feel very cheap. they look very cheap. the manufacturing tolerances were sloppy. are they cast or milled?, felt cast to me.

            Deal with it?

Blanket statements like "Well considering its built off of surplus Millenium bodies..." are misleading.

Only old school classics and rippers are milled from leftover stock (Millenium bodies).

This does not apply to All the NEW Timmies that MOST people are thinking of... especially with regard to the "Z" Timmy (Which was the ORIGINAL TOPIC of this thread).

                my .02

I think a lot of people are giving the timmys a lot less credit than they deserve. The local Am team, Element, here in Alaska is sponsored by Bob Long and they put those markers through their paces. Don't get me wrong, they are dutiful in maintaining and cleaning them but when it comes time to use them they are not the "cheap" or delicate gun that a lot think they are. I've seen them do just about anything you can during play and still the timmy comes out fine. They perform nothing like a spider IMHO

THE Z TIMMY LOOKS MIGHTY FINE!!!! I LIKE THE CLAM GRIPS AND IN MY OPINION THEY HELP WITH THE WAY YOU GRIP THE MARKER< HELPS TO TUCK YOUR ELBOW IN AND SUCH.

how big is your house?? mines 4 bedroom 2 baths LOL

im sure they do shoot fast, that seems to be part of the attraction. im only saying for my tastes and for that kinda cash i want a better made marker. i held it, fooled with it and looked it over real well and i just dont get it. thats just me. im a 35 year old consumer who works hard for his money. if im gonna lay it out it will be for something that feels more substantial.not the flavor of the month. not many kids will be able to shoot grandpas timmy. my grandkids will probably be able to shoot my mag, or a blazer, phoon, autococker etc. i understand thats not what its about for everyone and thats cool. call me old or outdated or out of touch but i like stainless steel!

Man, who cares if it was made from Millenium bodies or not. It shoots great, i love the way it looks and is no where in the ball park or range of a spyder. I don't see all the hoop-la and comparison between the two. Its a no brainer. Or maybe thats why its so hard to understand. (Lack of one)

The most surprising point about all of this is some can say that Tom Kaye got the idea for the automag from leftover pvc pipe in his garage.

im a 35 year old consumer who works hard for his money. if im gonna lay it out it will be for something that feels more substantial.not the flavor of the month. not many kids will be able to shoot grandpas timmy. my grandkids will probably be able to shoot my mag, or a blazer, phoon, autococker etc. i understand thats not what its about for everyone and thats cool. call me old or outdated or out of touch but i like stainless steel!
So the rest of us get our markers from where? Santa? the Easter bunny? I work for my stuff too, and I take into account longevity when getting a marker. (not how long Im goin to keep it, how long it would last)

I love autocockers, but I no that a timmy would last longer, if both properly cared for.

Old and outdated? Nah, more like narrow minded, but hey to each his own. Remember, I never called your gun cheap, but you did to the ppl that own timmies. Have a great day.

I thought this was to showcase the "Z" Timmy, not have ppl dog it.

where you get narrow minded i dont know.

actually it was not a thread to showcase the z intimidator.
it is a poll with 2 choices, like or not like.
i dont have enough info to like or not like, im indifferent.
my personal real in my hand impression was cheap
                      sorry

when everyone called my gun a blender i didnt get bent.
i waited it out and the manufacturer fixed it, cheaply i might add. with steel, not cast aluminum. and i didnt need a whole new next generation gun.

and im not some kind of mag zealot. there are really nice guns out there that are not agd.

"...im sure they do shoot fast, that seems to be part of the attraction..."

Actually, for me, back in 2000 when I first became interested in the Timmy, THE MOST IMPORTANT feature for me was the A.C.E.

The fact that it could shoot as fast as you could pull the trigger and NOT chop was best thing since sliced bread!

Impy had an ACE as well, but I got to shoot one of the first GZ prototypes (Q's gun), so I went Timmy.

I've had a MAG since 1995 and I was REALLY sick and tired of it chopping! Angels, cockers, they all chopped... Once I purchased my GZ, I never chopped again.

Now with the all of the anti-chop systems available (i.e. LVL10, COPS, etc.) and faster loaders such as HALO and evo2, chopping issues are becoming less important. SPEED, as you say, has become more of the attraction... and Timmies = SPEED!

There is a difference between saying, "i dont like the gun" and "the gun seems to be made in an inexpensive, cheap way." Lack of tact is unnecessary. Just because it is from aluminum, and not SS, does not mean it is bad workmanship or quality.

I say narrow minded for the fact that you have the same mentality that the ppl that called ur mag a blender. It wasn't true, yet ppl continued to spread that.

I like all types of guns, and am interested in finding out new ones as well.

Jack&Coke- the rippers and classics were not milled off of millenium bodies. If you notice the millenium bodies have a hole in them for the valve retaining pin. The classics and rippers don't have them. Since Bob didn't make the bodies for the milleniums, they would have come with the holes predrilled in them, so they couldn't have been the early intimidators. i've got one in the 200's, (the serial on one of the classics i just repaired) and it has no hole in it.

Now i'm not saying EARLY intimidators, as in preproduction were made from millenium bodies, becuase i bet they were. But the production ones were all contracted out.

Then I guess Bob's own shop tech, Neil, doesn't know what he's talking about...

I called B.L.A.S.T. (925-625-7929) and spoke with Neil, and he reconfirmed what I posted... all of the classics and rippers where milled from Millenium bodies.

He mentioned that we should take note of how the classic and rippers are "just short" length wise? Hense the need for that funky end cap. Also notice the holes on top of the body just rear of the feed neck?

Givem a call... then post back here and let us know what the story is...
