another Q,
could I just run macro hose and then a slide check w/ a 90dg fitting right outside the valve?

I believe it acts like an on/off. I prefer just a QD myself.Classic RT - RT02667

I run my mag a similar way - but as a lefty I can keep the hose on the right hand side rather than having to cross over to the left of the reg.

I have my hose run that way on my e and tunamag. I use quick disconnects at the valve and tank. The no-rise has a slide check in-line before the disconnect but the e doesn't need one because Centerflag tanks have one built in. Oh, link to pics in my sig. I used to run the hose on my z-grip that way but it felt funny

"if memory serves me" there is a resturant in kyoto...no prize to anybody who gets that reference. anyways i started if memory serves me then went off on a tagent, toms chord body mag is set up with the gauges on the opposite side than usual and the hose goes from the right side of the valve to the left side of the flatline behind the grip. he just switched the side the gauges are on on the flatline reg."whoever did that in the bathroom needs to start eating right and go see a doctor" - Tunaman, AOSC 2
