my 12 volt did the same thing, alls you do is take your ule feedneck off and from the bottom use like a pen, pencil, screwdriver...whatever you want and hammer it out.

Viewloader. Not the Brass Eagle viewloader, the one before, and before that. That was a soft yet durrable plastic, only thing that ever broke was the lid and that never scratched up a $150 mag body.Originally posted by FalconGuy016
Find better plastic in today's loaders. Go on, try.
The field I play at is 15 minutes away, so no long car rides. EVERYTHING is seprate and wrapped in towels on the way to the field, and when I get to the field I un-wrap it and use the towels all day. I haven't played in like 3 weeks, I cleaned my gun after play and rested my gun in the rubbermade tub so I could fondle my E-mag every once and awhile. Today I picked it up and twisted and pulled the Halo and it just broke off, like it was meant to break off that way. Look how perfectly it broke.. what a bunch of crap..
This plastic is high impact.. when it's 3 feet thick.. when it's as thin as it is, it is very brittle. They use this plastic because it is super clear and looks neato when you have a tinted color and you can see your balls. Maybe the makers don't have any balls so they wanted a window to see balls.. who knows. I could care less about looks..
If they can make the frame of my H&K USP .45 out of plastic they need to make a loader out of the same stuff. I would gladly pay more for it. When I dropped $130 on this loader I thought I was getting quality... I was mistaken.
Thanks for the advice everyone. i wish there was a better way to get it out. I don't want to take the feed neck off because I'll have to go buy a strap wrench, heat up the ULE so i can get the loctite off and then MAYBE i'll be able to get iy out, then I'll have to loctite the feed neck back on... ugh..Comment

Hrmm...
"Should I feeze the body and then try or heat the plastic?"
Cold things contract, warm things expand. It's the opposite dude.
I'm pretty sure that the aluminum will be affected more by temperature change, not the plastic. Meaning that freezing it would make a tighter fit. I don't know how the annodizing is effected by a heat and at what temperature. You might want to try heating it with a hair dryer, but I would wait for further response.
I don't know how much that will help though.. There will only be a few thousandths difference.
Throwing out suggestions... Is there anyway you could get a bolt screwed into the platic? Then pull or push on the bolt. 3/4 inch bolt might work, although it might be too big...We've tapped holes using just the screw. Although that was much smaller but also aluminum.Prototype Paintball Gun-http://www.automags.org/forums/showt...0&pagenumber=1Comment

Sorry, run on sentance there, meant to say: "Should I feeze the body and then try? Or heat the plastic?"
I drilled two holes in the plastic and put a needle nose and tried twisting it put.. no luck.. just got it to spin once..
ugh.. lemme try my torch lighter on just the plastic (it's pretty precise).Comment

Got it...
Still scratched my ULE.. I am real anal about that sorta stuff, and it pisses me off it got scratched not because I was playing but because of something as dumb as this. You can't see the scratches when a loader is on it, but i know they are there.. that bothers me. i wish AGD sold their feed neck seprate. I know I can get an Angel feed neck.. I liked the AGD one..
I drilled along side the plastic and it finally broke in half when I stuck a screw driver in it and twisted it.
Damn Halo...
Thanks again everyone.Comment

I got a reply to my e-mail today:
"Just send the loader in and we'll replace the shells under warranty."
That's cool and all... just sucks I scratched my ULE body feed neck.. if I smacked the Halo or jumped on it and it broke I wouldn't been pissed.. but all I did was twist and pull it off my gun and it broke.
Ah well, gonna package it up now.Comment

Honestly, I abuse the hell out of my halos, and the only problem I ever had was a motor burnt out. My shels have been sanded to fit my xmag feed neck, and they fit extremly snug. I have a team-mate who is getting a halo now because he sees how I smack mine around to get it to line up straight, and it has never broke, yet he babies his egg 2 and it has broke a couple of times.
Im sorry you had a bad experience with your shells, but I would put every dime I have on the fact that you have the best loader on the market. Good luck and I hope the replacements last you as long as mine have.

hjow is it NOT the halo's fault? And, careful? I was careful, I took my time and the only way to get the piece that was stuck in my ULE body was to scratch it. That is every bit the Halo's fault since IT BROKE OFF IN MY ULE BODY. If the Halo wouldn't have broken, then I wouldn't have had to drill and use screw drivers to yank the piece of broken plastic FROM THE HALO THAT BROKE.Originally posted by Fatjon
Didnt you scratch your body by trying to get it out? thats not the halos fault. You should have been more carefull.
If *I* broke my Halo then it would have been my fault, but all I did was pull and twist my Halo off and it broke in my hands.
I now have my "backup" hopper on my gun, heh hehComment
