They should make to models, one with a "DYE" jewel on it and the other without. The only other difference between the two...$200.LOL

DYE didn't aquire sole rights of distribution or manufacturing, this means that the other companies that produce custom Matricies will still continue to produce them.

All DYE did here was purchase the rights to build them instead of ordering them direct from Generation E and then working on them. Much like the XMag, the Matrix is produced in fairly small runs and supply is limited. Dye has a substantial manufacturing facility, they can produce them on their own now that they have the rights, so they're not stuck waiting on Gen E to supply them. They're cutting out the cost for transportation and time involved in ordering/shipping from Gen E.

I like DYE's style and design... The "look" they give their products is top notch. Every thing they make "looks" and "feels" great!

You are forgetting one thing... 40% more expensive Matrix - LOL

Dye's version will be the same accurate beast we all know and love, but they are promising their new version will be smaller, lighter, more air effecient and best of all: CHEAPER than any Matrix that has come before it.

The Matrix is a good gun, just looks kinda dorky.. I think Dye will fix the dorky looking side of it and come out with an awesome gun. Can't wait to see what they do.

For the DYE custom versions probably, but the agreement is laid out so that Generation E can still offer the LED and LCD Matrix for the same price.

Also of note, it makes the second owner of the design, Generation E didn't actually own the design, they were the licensed manufacturer of the Matrix.

Also of note re: year of the whatever....

More NXL teams shoot the Matrix than any other paintgun (well, 3 teams compared to 2 Timmy, 2 mixed, and 1 SP
