3000 psi C02 tank, hydro?, N2? PLEASE HELP!

well, heres the deal, i recieved this tank from a friend who quit the sport, sad, i know, , buy anyways, i was wondering some things,
    things:
    1. approx. what size is this tank?, i knows its 3000 psi, but can anyone give me a ballpark figure of cubic inches?
    2. what would i need to run this tank on N2, as it has a Co2 valve installed on it, and would it be worth it, as i would have to get it hydroed and the parts....or should i just buy a new tank
    3. how much is the average hydro, and do tanks usually pass?, what are the criteria of a passing tank
    4. does anyone know of a cheap hydro-tester in the atlanta, GA area?

    thanks for you time AO'ers

pics are attached showing the date, tank, and valve thingy, lol

looks wierd. i have no idea whats up with the co2 valve.

        its a 68ci tank.

if i were you id send it in for hydro, then buy a nice reg to replace the co2 valve and youll have a nice nitro setup

these guys are GREAT for hydrotesting. they are on the west coast, but the guy there is really nice and he will help you with any questions about testing, shipping, whatever. im on the east coast and i mailed my tank and got it back in a week and a half. check them out

68? You sure? Looks like a long 88 to me

C02 valves are for like impulses and shockers, and you can hold a BUNCH of c02 in those things

i think its a 68.. could be wrong though

and yes, i think its 32-36 ounces (correct me if im wrong)

from the looks of it, you need that tank hydro'd (most tanks its every 3 years, but some say otherwise) but it seems to be in very very good condition. Most of the time tanks pass, but it all depends on tank condition. Hydro usually runs about 20-25 bucks.

it would replace the co2 reg and be screwed into your tank. you can call most companies and some paintball stores and they will sell you a reg only for a tank. if i were you id just buy a preset reg, but since you already have a bottle, you could get a good adjustable red for it for about 100-200

Dont install the reg yourself though, It'd be a lot safer jsut to buy a reg and have your local Paintball store take of teh old valve and install the new reg.

I had a 3000 psi 114 Smart Parts Max-Flow. check to see if the threads are reversed. it could be the tank that the max-flow needs. it holds about 4 lbs of Co2. Min, the 114 held about 6 lbs. If it is a SP it can be filled with either. you just need to get the MF part. and if you want to use Co2, the adapter for it. im not sure, but it could also just be a 68 Co2 tank. Most common on Impulses and Shockers, as Falconguy said. those make a cool Co2 tank as well.
