lightest tourney level gun EVER (can some1 do this???????????)

OK this is the deal.I'm trying to build the lightest tourney gade marker possible. The reason for this is that i have only 1 arm, and any weight savings would help. Like I have no need for a front grip. I got the ule body need an x valve.Need a new tank(those new dye tanks are the lightest,I've herd). And i've got this photo shopped pic of what i want to have done to a rail.(any one with a milling machine? This thing is like half of the original weight. But I want MORE (meaning less pounds)
So help me out as best you can.

Well, considering you'll only be using one hand to fire, I think you should just sell what you have and save up for an Xmag or one of Tunaman's Total ULE Emags. Because of your disability, it'd be much easier to fire an electro trigger than it would a mechanical mag with a Benchy frame. Anyway. It's up to you. If you don't feel you have the funds for something like an Xmag(I know I don't ) then I'd also suggest getting a Y-grip(more ergonomic than a 45 frame) and then the ULE trigger mod. For tanks I would get a 45/4500 tank of some sort(unless you play back which I doubt). In terms of having your rail milled out, talk to RogueFactor here on AO.

      Good luck!

For an air system, I would highly recommend a Mac Dev Conquest. My 68/4500 adjustable weighs less than a screw-in of the same size.

Run a remote line and mount your air system on your pack, that will save several pounds on the marker itself.

You might want to consider a gas through stock of some sort, something that will give you a solid base on your shoulder.

Something else you might want to look at is a forearm stock, it's a short stock that wraps around your forearm that makes it alot easier to use only one hand, but you lose some flexibility in point of aim since the pivot point now becomes your elbow and not your wrist.

The all ULE setup comes in lighter then the Xmag C&C, spend the extra cash on the ULE rail, it's worth the weight savings.

            ule trigger mod

I think that the suckcess of this project will rely on the ule trigger mod. I dont want to go electro, because of weight and reliability issues. THis mod came at the rite time for me . should i wait till it gets bundeled with the x valve, or will it? I dont think i ca do the ule trigger mod to my current rtpro valve. buy my gun to help fund my project http://www.automags.org/forums/showt...threadid=92627

Jterra, i have a very interesting proposition. I am building a paintball gun of my own design. It will be electro, and by design will be lighter and smaller than a stock automag with an xvalve and such. If you are interested, i would be willing to build one for you at cost. I will be finishing the prototype sometime in the next month.

The gun will be electro, so you can fire it very quickly. The center of balance will also be very good for one handed shooting, as the hopper will be centered over the crook of your forefinger and thumb. it should point very well due to this.

Also, due to its prototype nature, i can easily put any custom accessories you would need to further your ability to play one-handed.

Please toss a line my way at [email protected].

The Stiffi barrel is carbon fiber and weighs under 2 ounces.

RogueFactor on the forums does a ULE sort of milling on rails. Might wanna ask him to see what he can do.

                    Good luck man!

If you want the lightest tourney gun possible, wait for the Advent GTS to come out, it should retail for about $850.

It's weight is going to be 1.3 lbs, just run it with a small gas thru grip and a Macdev 03 Conquest. Throw on an Ultralite Barrel and you have an extremely light gun.

I plan on going remote again just to get the tank off of the gun.

What's the point of saving a few ounces here and there when you can remove more than a pound by getting the tank off of the gun!

You can also shave even more weight off of the ULE body. The rear portion of the body can be cut similarly to the X-Mag so that part of the valve is exposed. You want enough for structural purposes. You can also have some of the front removed, all the way down to where the barrel butts up against the body.

                          Because:

                          A - It restricts airflow.
B - Now you're carrying even more weight all together (added remote)
C - Do you really want a tank in addition to all your pods on your back?
D - If your whole setup is as light as it's going to be, a full hopper combined with a stock may make the gun feel somewhat awkward.
E - At times that coiled hose can get a little annoying (atleast for me).

                          Just my take on things.

How did I skip over this part?

Anyway, don't forget 1 important rule: A well balanced gun can make make it feel much lighter than it actually is. So an appropriately sized drop forward will make all the difference in the world.
