Honestly if i were you i would get a verry long dropbecouse it would help balanse it out for shootin 1 handed. Something like the kapp dz3. Also maybee consider a singe trigger cuz with shooting with one arm it will help you hold the gun with the extra finger.
lightest tourney level gun EVER (can some1 do this???????????)

jterraw-best tank would be the 45/45 conquest
conquest are very awesome tanks to begin with but
so so so light :)
maybe get a vl200 to also save on weight...
also on a side note
not sure wats the lightest barrel out is
but the dye ultralite is pretty darn light :)

An alternate remote set up: Put your tank in a Kamelpack and run the remote over your shoulder. I've done this for quite some time and I never had any problems with it. This way you don't have to get a new pack, and with it so high on your back (right between my shoulderblades) it stayed nicely out of the way.
On a side note: due to a design class I'm taking next fall and spring I will hopefuly be developing a backpack that holds both air and paint.

I have also thought about the lightest setup for a mag...here is what I came up w/...
whichever hopper,
ULE body, cut all the way to the threads
Stiffi Barrel, possibly cut
Xvalve
Stock rail, milled out by RogueFactor, front end sawed off all the way to the frame, and back chunk to the goove taken off as well.
AGD carbon Fiber frame w/ intelliframe trigger (the carbon fiber frame is the lightest I have ever felt ( compared to Intelliframe, Zgrip, Benchmark, Dye)
Remote, or your choice of comfortable drop
Bottom line, and maybe a 45/4500 or one of those 70 ci 'peanut' tanks , or maybe something 48 ci.
That would be the lightest mag imagineable in my books.

phantoms are really light guns. I've used one before, and it feels like you're hardly holding anything. I dunno how well it will work tho considering you're going to be playing in semi-auto tournaments. :/Comment

what's the weight of an ULE Mag? I think a GZ Intimidator or an Orracle Cocker are the lightest paintball markers.Comment

Nah, I have a gz and I've used beefstew's eclass orracle and they're not the lightest guns ever by any means. Plus, gz's are front heavy, which means they are awful for holding with one hand.15 CLUB OWNS ALL!!!!
22 Club is also pretty good!!!

Ya, im thinking of getting a broken cocker at the field for like 50 bucks and having them convert it. There is a thread on AO about the gun somewhere....Comment

Interesting challenge.
Couple of ideas:
Get the Stiffi barrell like nippinout suggested. It weighs 54grams, 2 oz, cost about $120. This upgrade not only saves a lot of weight, but saves it from the tip of the gun. You will get more from this upgrade than most in that one, it will move the balance point of the gun closer to the grip, which is another advantage for you, and two, the carbon fiber barrel clears a break after about 3 shots eliminating the need to squeegy. I have one on my emag and it is fantastic, just don't go diving into any bunkers and dig the tip, it will break.
Eliminate the steel braid and go to micro line. Check it often and you shouldn't have any problems.
Go to a non screw-in tank and look at mounting it backwards ( by typical standards). Maybe a 3" straight kapp rail and a neck clamp. This will put the center of gravity right on the grip, eliminate the weight of the long drop forward and, with the tank forward and low, you can place your left arm under the tank to better stabilize your aim. With the tank low and forward the gun will want to stay verticle, saving on grip strength. It will also allow you to better cradle your gun in your left arm while reloading since it won't want to tip forward as bad.
I love a challenge and I'd be interested in doing a little custom milling for you.Comment

Wouldn't it be easier (or at least less tiring) to have a single trigger - you could hold the marker with three fingers instead of two? Further, I would imagine a single trigger carbon fiber frame would weigh less than an aluminum double trigger frame (is that a dye?). Just a thought.Comment
