Please take no offence to this but how do you re-load without putting the marker down? I was thinking you would need some sort of shoulder strap that you just drop your marker and it would sorta dangle by your chest leaving yo hand free.

    Just a thought. :)

Two words....Microdefiant. I had one, it was stupid how light it was. It came in at just over 18 oz. That's right, 18 oz. for a gun, complete with 14" Ultralite barrel. They are extremely rare though.

        edit:corrected:)

U should try n rig one of those "assault slings", or whatever they call em" from a tippman A-5. You could just drop your gun and use your arm for hopper work when u have to load. It would also take the weight of when just running, walking. I know a mag aint that heavy but having to carry it one handed all day must suck. You must have a friggin' Popeye forearm!

wow! my thread is over 2 pages!!!!!!

First of all thanks for your comments and questions. OK so how do I reload? thank god for flip top lids, my left arm stops just below the elbow. I shift the gun from my right hand to my stump, and quickly reload. it only taks like 5 seconds, really. its like a big thumb, which cant grip but it does stabilize a little. It takes alot of the weight of the tank and puts it on my sholder. I need one of those rubber things with the nipples all over them to keep it from slipping (that sounds funny!) as for my gun setup, w/o tank and barrel, it has to be less than a pound or soon to be any way.3.5oz rail 3.9 oz body the benchy is like 3 oz at most. so theres 10.4 oz if an x valve is less than 5.6 oz? the gun is under a pound. i know the retro is 3oz more than the xvalve but i really dont know total weight of an xvalve. the gun will weigh roughly equal to 1 hopper full of paint. If someone didnt want to pay the money for an xvalve they could put 10 less balls in their hopper. Then there you go, for free. And thanks everybody for your encouragement to play paintball, but im a crip which means i was born with my disability.but it really has had no effect on my paintball abilities. I've been playing for 11 years, 3 of them tourney ball.I pratice with the best teams from wisconsin. like dedicated 2 ,who won the psp rookie five-man,and whatever agd guys showup on sunday. My team is madness, we play at apocalypse paintball outside of madison wi. Except for the first tourney this year, we always place in the top. winning some stupid tshirts or somthin'.The last tourney we missed the finals by 12 points. 8 of which came from me shooting hot. so we ended up in 6th place right behind agd x. I usually have a few games where i just take everyone out in a few seconds (3man). peoples attitudes change from "isn't that cool that he can play" to "that one armed guy just schooled me!". Were also known for playing with a girl(she's mine),and she kicks ***.And being poor, we still don't have team jerseys. We are currently trying out peps for our five man team. So drop me a line if your in the area. If you want to see pics of us in action go to http://www.freewebs.com/madnessinc/index.htm

RogueFactor told me that xvalves were 11.5 oz in the package.... so i'll have to say it's more than 5.6oz

That's a whole lot to type with one hand. You just made me feel really lazy! Just wondering, but do you have any kind of prosthesis for you other arm? I would try to build some kind of warp fed cannon arm or something, but that's me.

I'm building myself a super light pretty good set up, and I've found that a good 45/4500 nitro really helps. They weigh 2 pounds with reg, whereas your steel tank may way 3.5. Also, a really light trigger could be a bad thing, because it would force you to keep all weight off of it and it would be a lot of work on your wrist.

jterraw-best tank would be the 45/45 conquest
conquest are very awesome tanks to begin with but
                      so so so light :)
maybe get a vl200 to also save on weight...
                      also on a side note
not sure wats the lightest barrel out is
but the dye ultralite is pretty darn light :)
so that saves some weight too

Hammer-head barrels are very light, too. Downfall to that barrel kit is the price: $250

My suggestion would be a Z grip if u can find one. I found it very easy to shoot with one hand, and my gun was really heavy(Steel 68 3000, boomy, ultralite).

Yeah, why don't you use some sort of prosthesis?(sp?)

I mean, hold your grip frame with your... err.. "Full" Hand (no offense) then use your prosthesis to hold the Foregrip or the bottom of the nitro tank (whatever u prefer)

yea i would definitely run a remote setup that will save tons of weight if u really are sure about keeping the mag because of its light weight than definitely get a small 8 inch barrel which will save a little weight. u could also try drilling holes through your frame or body rail which might save weight. also if u have an rt u might want to go back to a single trigger frame u might be able to get some better reactivity but thats just preference. good luck
