AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Well what I was really meaning to ask was. What warrents a 1600$ marker, just for a new logo on it, and a crazy circuit layout that can give you 60+ cps?
(Before you flame me, this is based on moderate research on the Bob Long and shocketech Websites) The hammer kit, clamshell, slightly different milling, and the right to engrave shocktech on it is the only differences between this and the Lasoya which is (i think) $400 cheaper. Not really worth it (based upon my research) because they (should) both come with the same WAS LCD board, but I thought (note I thought denotes my opinion, to be taken for what it's worth) the Species has very nice milling, removes the peg from the top of the bolt, is (supposed to be) lighter, however lacks the LCD at around $1400.
cphilip - ...And again I am not allowing anyone to use the "well everyone else does it and gets away with it" excuse. Get used to it. Life aint always fair and this ain't no democracy.
Well, that's nothing new, and Shocktech is not the only ones who do it. With these custom guns, you're usually paying for the name, looks, and sometimes a nice warranty.
Shocktech
Warped Sportz
Cobra
KAPP
DYE
They all do it. Geez, even AGD does it. How much more are you paying for an X-Mag over an E-Mag? And how many performance advantages does it really give over the E-Mag?

the 66.6 board is really a sob board, they just call it that. they use to have the WAS board in there and call it a shocktech board, but i think Jim complained to shocktech and they had to change the board. dont quote me on this, i might be wrong.
Sounds like purchasing guns off the shelf for nearly 2000$ is a big scheme to make the dividing line between the "pros" and the aspiring player, a monetary one.

what heftylefty said is true, and its also a creative way to sucker people into thinking that its a really good chip, it really only detects 66.6 pulls per second, the was board detects a million pulls per second, this means that you can get more registered shots with the was board than the sob board, alot of people say "well no one can pull 66 a sec anyone so it still should be super fast", it still will be pretty fast, but the board won't catch all your pulls so it will not the fastest. shocktech uses the same marketing scheme with the shocktech bushmasters, the 66.6 bps board is really a suped up stock board which isn't as good as the chaos board which is practically the was board of bushmasters, can catch a million pulls a sec
