ok i did get the evo today in smoke. as soon as i got home i loaded it up with batteries, stuck it on my gun, tested it, filled it. but then when i go to adjust the speed with a screw driver the black plastic knob snapped right off. i am positive i was turning it the right way and my dad works right across from pevs so hes gonna take it back and get it fixed or a new one and then i spent $20 more on a macro fitting and air. and my dad bought a bag of paint for the both of us cause he likes to shoot my gun alot. right about then i kicked my self and figured ill just cap my gun a 9 bps. wrong. i switched it off of turbo and into semi. i go outside screw in my tank, turn the loader on and pull. the bolt pin twitches and i hear a slight tunk. i pull it again about 3 times and the 4'th time 5 balls popped out of my barrel. so now that the guns actually working i can shoot. it starts off good firing off a 1/4 hopper at a tree then chop. i get pretty mad and clean it out. then i empty the hopper on a rock for taget practise (trying to walk my fire) and another chop. i go inside make sure that i capped my bps at 9 and i did. clean up and head up the hill to practise some snapshooting. i pull the trigger and it fires like its in UL bps mode (sweet spotting). so i start my snappin off at my shed and it chops twice in a row. at this point im fuming mad so i start walkin the trigger like a mofo and almost every other shot was a chop with my gun capped at 9. and the lid's spring loaded. but i am happy with my guns new ability to not leak and would be happy if i hadnt broken that stupid *** knob. oh yea i almost forgot i shot myself in the hand too. like before balls were loading in the barrel and then one shot out at a very low velocity (like 10fps) so i put my hand over the barrel to save my blaze and whack! it wasnt a full force hit i dont think. maybe 200fps but i still hurt and didnt help at all. should have gotten the halo. anyways is this problem common in evos? i dont think they have another smoke one either. stupid vl. i nothing else im glad my gun works.

Have your dad take it back and pick up one with a y-board.

thats what im gonna do. but do you mean z board? i think it already has y inst. and they dont have any more smoke in stock. if they will up it to a z for free ill go for it but money's very tight so i dont think i will. i just want it to work so i can play. the most enertaining part was shooting the balls back in the bag with my hopper. simple pleasure.

Correct me if I am wrong, but if it has the speed adjustment with the black knob, then it isn't a y board. When you turn it on do you puch a button or flip a switch? If it is a switch, it is y-boarded.

If if has speed adjustment (black nob) and toggle switch to turn on/off then it is y boarded. If it has a speed adjustment (black nob) as well as another black button to turn on/off then it is push button. If it has no speed adjustment at all and a toggle switch to turn it on/off then its z.
