Why is the emag so inefficient????

I thought a mag won't work at 600 psi it needs like 800, and I don't want another gun, me likes me emag, just want it to be perfect .

My E-Mag works at 650 and so does my captain's. Recommended input is 600-800 psi. You won't get any reactivity, but I always use it in E-mode and I'm not interested in that at all.

I can shoot 7 160rd pods and a HALO off my E-Mag with a 68/4.5K Flatline and a 16" DYE Ti Boomstick.

That's not bad numbers. What's your input pressure, and what spring are you running on the level ten black?

I'm going back emag after my taxes come in. I was worried about the efficiency issue because I play back, but I've never dumped 1300 balls in a game so if I could mirror your setup I would be golden.

dang.. 10 pods and a hopper? thats a good 1600 balls. So you really mean to tell me that you buy 6-7 cases of paint a day? that must cost alot of money for paint, if you have that kind of money why dont you get that special gun that gets 1500+ shots off a 68ci

I only go through that many pods in tounreys in which we pull paint and have sponsored help, on weekends I got through like 2-3.

i owned a minimag (stock valve no level 10)
and i had to fill the tank a couple of times during the day because you do not always get 4500k fills!
sometimes you only get 3000k or so.
i now own a mac dev sonic cocker
and the first day i played with it i was shocked about the efficiency!
it very nice to have such a marker!

but on the other hand:

-air is cheap

-paint is expensive

ok check this i have a classic...my field would only get like 2k on a good weekend and i was still able to dump out of my 88/4500 a good 140 in the hopper and atleast 2 of the pods i had before it hit like 1 k...im sorry man but the problem isnt with the gun its with the carrier either hit what your shooting at or ball up and get a bigger tank.. im sorry but if you cant hold up the 10lbs of gun for longer than 10 minutes than you need help...

I get about 900-975 shots out of my 68/45 filled to 3k, to 4.5k or a little under it gets 1200-1300 shots and I run my EMag at around 850psi. My efficiency seemed to get alittle better when using a larger carrier w/ the LX which makes sense being theres less resistance on the bolt.

Something tells me that if you're going through 10 pods of paint in a game on a regular basis, you're doing something wrong. Start playing with 8 pods only, then 6 only, get yourself down to about 4 pods. Back player or not, 10 pods is like burning cash to heat your house.

Ok guys I am NOT talking about classic valves. I am talking about the Emag, not your classic automag I have a classic automag and the gas efficiency on that is fine. And if you watch any touney of any good team, no back player only carries 6 pods, unless you feel like losing all the time.
