Hmmm.... Might this be another hint of something to come from AGD? Maybe I am the only one, but Tom seems to be dropping alot of hints lately about a new product, probably a gun...

BTW, sorry if someone else posted this but i'm strapped for time right now and plan to come back and read the rest of the posts tommorrow.

Hey, I gotta love a gun that actually makes my viking look attractive by comparison.

mjs im thinking hes using odyssey like throwing one penguin in the water to check for polar bears before diving in with the rest of what hes got. why? this gun as you can tell by the reaction doesnt look like a hot seller compared to the average one we see ubar hyped and hes taking what people are looking for when they judge a gun to see if his future design if there is one would survive past being different.

hopefully that made some sense im just guessing and its midnight lol

The best way to market a gun is to slowly leak out information about it over a period of a few months. Then you start releasing pictures of it with beautiful women holding it and *PRESTO* everyone wants one.

Uhhh, no, Paintball Wholesalers now sells stock imps with magno blades, stickys, vert maxflos and tapeworms for 425. Also, the 03 is 550 bucks right? Well slap a was board on that above gun and you have the best gun for 575 you can buy.

                    odyssey makes good stuff

I personally think the gun looks nice.
Can't really bash the gun b4 its even out

                    but thats just my opinion

it probably rips considering they make the fastest loader around, why not the fastest marker??

hmmm torn between the pictures. I was going to say peo: clamping feedneck stock, until I saw the second one. But it is nice to see the stock eyes.

I really hate teh pointy bolt? or bolr cover.. or whatever sticking out of the top.

Other than that.. I can't say much till I shoot it.

                          My thoughts are:

It looks ok, nothing earth shattering, but it's not nearly as bad as everyone is saying imo.

External hoses... don't knock them if they work. Timmy's have hoses. The Cyborg has hoses. Might be a pain, but hey, if they work great, what's the problem? Take care not to pinch them though... OH, and it also makes it possible that you might be able to put QEVs on the ram. It's been done on intimidators.

I think the price is a bit much. We'll see how good the stock board and eye are, and that will probably be one of the major points to if this thing sells.

BTW, AGD/Tom, you ever consider doing what a lot of guitar companies do, and have both an import and domestic line? I got to thinking about that today. Many of those companies have imports built to the same specs, only they are a lot cheaper. Then for the really nice stuff, they make it in house so that it's guaranteed quality. I know that there are a lot of possible problems there, and not the least of which is brand deteriation due to poor QC overseas sometimes. But if done correctly, it could significantly lower your bottom end costs, and get you in a better position to take on the Tippmans of the industry. You'd still be able to sell on quality and higher end stuff, but it'd be well know that the USA branded stuff would be better. It seems to work rather well for a lot of music companies, such as Fender, Spector Basses, and Lakland. Mexican fenders cost 1/2 to 1/3 of the USA ones, but people only usually buy them as "starter" guitars. Then they move up to the USA models because they are better...

                          Just a thought...

I like the marker. Its compact w/ simple smooth lines. A breakbeam eye would be nice considering the speed it claims. I like that they finally compacted the basic spyder design and took about 2-3" off the length of the marker (wonder why Bob never thought of that). Now the kicker question.. Are they going to do spyder or cocker threading?? Come on OGI, lets get it right this time,,, or at least offer the option of cocker threading.

I'm in the market for a mid level electro. If its cocker threaded I'll certainly consider this one, but I'm not buying another barrel kit to match the new marker. There are too many other options that match what I already have.
