I hate to bring up this discussion again, but I feel as I was head ref on the whole Dex/Nitehawk thing I need to say a few things.
First of all I don't usually have the patience to read through whole threads like this, but Movieguy called me and asked for another perspective earlier today. This was the fastest I could get to the internet as my pc is in peices after a small flood damaged the carpeting underneath it. I wish I had seen this earlier.
When it happened I was about 15 feet from Jedi, who was in the snake. I saw several hits on nitehawk, called him out and Dex came over. I didn't hear what he said but I assumed everything was fine. Nitehawk took a shot to the head so was taking a few moments to collect himself before he got off the field. I then looked down to start doing the score sheet, heard shooting and saw the crowd. I ran over and later found out what happened from various people.
Nitehawk misunderstood what Dex said and thought he meant that the player about to bunker him should shoot him more. Dex should have helped nitehawk out, and nitehawk naturally shouldn't have ever shot the ref, especially at that range.
BIG DEAL! It happened, it shouldn't have, and its over.
Jedi, I know your defending your friend who you've know for a great deal of time, but stop being an arse or I will retire the thunder and lightning routine and moon you on random occasions, as much as possible.
I'd really appreciate if you apologized for the dueschbaggy things you've posted, and especially since this misunderstanding as hopefully been cleared up as best as possible. Nitehawk is one of my very close friends, I've known him way longer than you, the blackcell guys or anyone on AO. He's always been there for me and simply made a bad decision. We've all done that, to quote myself "BEEEEEER!!"
and later "BWWWWWAAAAAAAAAGHHH"
Nitehawk, I'm VERY glad you and jeremy are cool, if you haven't already (I don't remember) it'd be chill if you would apologize to him.
I know as head ref there were some short commings to our little 3 man tourny. It was thrown together, and the schedule wasn't even finished til the 4th or 5th game, among other problems. I tried my best and it was my first time organizing a tourny. The deadcell guys volunteered to ref and I most definatly took advantage of them (thanks guys!) because I needed the help. They didn't have to do that and they're all very honest and upstanding players. I trusted them and when their own team mates were on the field I felt uncomfortable asking them to not ref the game and get different ones for those games. I felt that would show a lack of trust between us, when there is none. I should have done the opposite, and gotten other players to ref.
This whole thing had 3 people at fault, myself, nitehawk and jeremy.
And now, I hope everythings said and done and we can move on with as few reputations tarnished.
