Ive said it before and ill say it again: Fully Automatics, RT's, etc..NO! I have not been to any of your local events so I cannot state how the rules were, but I would bring it up about cheater boards. I have heard and seen tons of cheater boards in the PSP and they are cracking down on it. I hate to say it, but NPPL has this system down. Locked boards, checked for bounce, and refs that will get on you! Not every field has the greatest refs, but when you have Joy Division up on your bunker, tossing you around, looking at your hands, you know they want this thing gone. Fully auto and RT are not fully controllable, RT's can get outta hand, one time something happened to me midgame and my RT Pro went crazy reactive and I almost bonus balled somebody a ton of times because I tried to bring it under control. Let the speed come on, I think we are at a point that human fingers have allowed, anything past will be a cheater board, and should be locked down to no cheating modes. Lets find out the little tricks that cheater boards push like ramped dwell and hidden clicks and get rid of that, not allow even more madness in. As for playing itself, when we can honestly see trends that firing fast has made the game worse, then we address it. For now, watch teams like Dynasty, sometimes Lang will just post up and tap the trigger, one by one, teams that have the winnings to show it and the lack of requirement of speed show that its all more than possible to play the game without every lane being filled with paint.
Lift tournament ban on RT style guns?

The thing is, if we regulate debounce, and supposedly the NPPL will now have a robot to do it, then it shouldn't pose a problem. Not everyone shoots their gun at debounce 1. And as long as the trigger provides ONE shot for every trigger cycle, that is pull and release, then they shouldn't be banned.
I also am confused, what is the difference between sweetspotting an electro and sweet-spotting a retro? Nothing. With the trigger set-up up properly, no matter what debounce, a e-gun should and could be sweet-spotted quite easily. Its all in the set-up. Though it may not be as easy as it is to sweetspot a retro, both still follow the same idea.
What the problem is people who make it toooo easy to go into full-auto. But then again, what one person finds easy, another person may find hard.
The Solution:
Adopt a machine such as the one that the NPPL will supposedly use. It can ensure a level-playing ground for the tourney. Though the paramater s and adjustments may still be needed, both guns ought to be treated equally. EACH and EVERY gun should be checked, and if necessary, do it before every game and quarranty the gun until game starts. That way tampering may be prevented and everyone has the same.I wish I wasn't broke....Comment

Beemer, you say think if the trigger hangs or locks up? Well as was pointed out if I dont point the gun in a safe direction and continue to unload on someone then I should be "banninated" My point is that is a lot less likely to happen than someone getting shot by accident by one of these feather trigger guns. I also think its a lot easier/faster for me to let up on a full auto burst than it is for someone who has worked themselves into a bps walking frenzy to stop.
Tunaman, I'd like to think I am not an idiot. I'm 38, I have a college degree, I am selfemployed(i.e. depend on my wits to keep food in the fridge lol), I served my time with Uncle...
I have been around guns all my life and find the lack of basic gun safety at most paintball events rather frightening.
That being said I still think my gun's whopping 12 bps on full auto is no less safe than these guys claiming 25bps or so. In fact I bet I'm a lot less likely to light someone up. Granted, my gun is slow compared most, even on full auto lol. I dont use the thing like a garden hose, but its nice to get out a quick 3-5 round burst when I need it.
Ok, its late and I dont know if I am making coherent sentences anymore so I will stop........Comment
