IIRC.. Nicad has said an RT/X valve is RECOMMENED, not the only valve it will work with. I dont see why it wouldn't work with a classic valve, I'm not saying I know how it works, but i would imagine there could be some sort of adjustment that could be used for minor differences between vavles, whether classic, retro or xvalve, they ALL have their own behavior.

it is not for sale until protection is fully in place.

we already have some initial stages of protection in place dating to sometime last year, but it is taking a while to get the rest of it compleated to the proper extent.

-yes protection can take a long time. To me, on this product, proper protection holds a high priority. It is too important to have someone or some other company just take it away.

Based on what it looks like right now, it could still be a good 6-7 months away before they are available.. hang in there.........

the 6-7 month is a very optimistic but still somewhat realistic goal based on where we are at right now. Keep in mind lots can change untill then.

there was as slight change in the flow with the protection and progress was delayed slightly, but I feel we are back on track.. I really hope to be updating more often with positive progress.. hang in there!

-The hAir trigger has been, to date, completely Deadlywind's work.

-AGD is interested. We (Deadlywind) would be fools not to work with them in getting this out as an available product for mags.

They are no longer perusing the one they were working on in the past.. at least for now. It was a concept that, when tried, was not giving the results they were after.

AGD is looking into the technology used in this to decide if they want to do anything with it or not. If they do, it could be a product offered by AGD. If not, Deadlywind will either work on offering it on our own or in conjunction with another major paintball company.

when they do become available, vert/Y frame is a posibility. :-D

-As it has been mentioned already, this gripframe uses pneumatics. This does NOT make it an autococker. I only used one part which an autococker uses, but that same part is also use on 99% of all electros as well. EVERY paintball marker utilizes pneumatics at some level.

-There are no timing issues.

The prototype hAir trigger was mounted to a stock X valve with stock on/off.. so far nothing needs to be replaced above the triggerframe.

-It will probably be an entire triggerframe to bolt on. At one time I had hoped to make it as a drop in mod to existing triggerframes, but that is pretty much impossible.

-many many many questions about price. It would be smart to keep it AT or BELOW the price of electro upgrades. Is that possible? I don't know. I would be very happy it could be done though.

Any price stated now will only lead to disappointment in the future.. unless the price is purposefully stated high, which will lead to disappointment now. so what do you want to hear?

Yes it *should* work with a classic.
I say *Should* instead of WILL cause I havent tested it on a classic, but there is no foreseeable reason it will not work.
it will allow you to outrun the valve tho.. which will cause missfeeds, and possibly breaks in the barrel. :-/

We tried the hAir with the ULT kit yesterday or so.. the trigger pull could be adjusted down to 0.9 oz pull weight... this setup had detrimental effects on the max ROF tho. posted 3/25/04

The ULT has detrimental effects just like it would on the Emag (your not supose to run the ULT on an Emag). The ULT has lower overall operational force.. which means less return force after the marker is fired. For a regular trigger this is good, but when you are relying on that return force to help cycle/reset some mechanism, it's actually bad- slows everything down too much and hurts your ROF- no matter how many magnets/springs you try to add to the trigger.

There may be an optimised on/off pin configuration size that would work the absolute best, but so far the stock (Xvalve/RT) on/off works very well as is.

The 2.0 oz stated pull weight is the minimum the trigger was tested at (with stock Xvalve on/off) and still functioned. The prototype has the option to stack magnets to add to trigger return weight (just like the emag). To get higher ROF, you actually want a slightly harder trigger pull to return the trigger fast enough. In the video I was running about 3-4 oz weight.

On a mag, the hAir will rob around 3 or 4 shots on a 68/4500 tank fill."

Nothing yet. I spoke with the AGD techs at D-Day and they were about as clueless as we were. OR, they were very prudent with their information and great at keeping secrets. Only time will tell.
