My field got suckered into selling them. If you chop, your HAVE to dismatle the entire marker... also slow. But, theyare pretty neat little things. For the price, go for it.

A guy on my team has one... doesnt use it of course. More like a backup gun than anything.

NiCad and Sniper1rfa seem to be the ones to talk to... they've both worked on them... and have done some pretty sick stuff.

my personal experience with them has be... avoid avoid avoid! blech... slow... horrible trigger... chops like crazy...

no you dont, my friend has one (actually up in the BST forum) he uses gravity feed, so when he shoots fast, it chops, but hes never had to dismantle the gun because of a chop, only at the end of the day to clean out the paint, but i do that with any marker if i chop.

on a side note, i love playing with it, smaller and lighter than my mag, with a nice trigger. it feels like playing with a pistol, i would definately recommend em

IF I am not mistaken, these guns have a really neat x chamber built into them. I think I read an article on them back in the day, uses small BB's to break up the liquid CO2, actually it just increases the surface area....

                      Mayhems-- where to begin..?
closed bolt, 100PSI operating pressure, electric, cocker barrels, angel feednecks, small, light.

                      all sounds good, right?
                      dont be fooled.
in reailty they suck.. and badly too.
loud, gas hogs, slow ROF, will CUT YOUR FINGER OFF if you manage to get it in front of the bolt. I am not kidding. ask the kid with 9 fingers. Bolt has just over 200 Lbs of force when it closes. I dont see how this was never a safety issue.

GTRSI- your thinking of the Nova that had the expansion chamber built in.. they are made by the same people.

                      out!

not loud at all, mabey a gas hog, and its capped at 8bps, but the board keeps a constant 8bps if you shoot faster, dosent skip shots, so in reality, its not to bad, you can lane with it and all, but i wouldnt recommend for a back. also, i dunno where your gettin this bolt crap, we stuck a chop stick (wooden) in the breech of my friends and the bolt stopped on it.

                            Let's see--
Mayhem's internal chamber diameter is 1 5/8". That is 2.0739 square inches. Multiply that by the operating pressure (100psi as advertised) and you get 207.39 Lb of linear force. subtract the return spring force, ~10 Lb, and your left with almost 200Lb pushing the bolt forward.

Finger getting choped off (was only choped to the bone, not all the way off) was here: http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.p...hreadid=240145

Where am I gettin this bolt crap? I just made it up.
stick your finger in your mayhem next time before you gas it up. (At this point you must realize I am not REALLY telling you to stick your finger in your mayhem. Not responsible for your actions)

Sound signature will vary depending on your barrel.
The board will que quite a few shots if you pull more than 8bps. it will proceed to fire the remaining shots after you stop-- also unsafe.

Trust me... unless its a backup gun, or something to tinker with, DONT get it. The ONLY person recommending them in here has an impulse, if that says anything

Trust me... and "me" is the person who has seen these in action since the moment they were released, and shipped to my field. Oh... there are EXTERNAL WIRES... I couldnt count the number of times we have had to re solder them on there.

Oh, not 200 pounds, but 300 pounds I heard about that kid who lost the tip of his finger, too
