Well we are slowly turning heads in SoCal. Every now and then I get compliments on my Emag at a local store. Many of which dig the look of Rogue's stuff (clamping neck, barrel bag, milled rail (wingless and non wingless), and tank cover) and the 4.0 software.. I think the best thing for mags was the switching to the common threaded barrel (cocker). Every now and then I come across parts kits but nothing else. Hense that is why I go through Rogue. He can get me anything I want from AGD (if it's in stock) and he's extremely local.
    Sorry, I'm old

I get ragged on for my mag every now and then, its funny, I used to shoot a 300 dollar pirahna playing with guys sporting eblades and imps and timmys. Now I show up on the field with a 500+ dollar Mag and they make fun of me for it.

It just makes me laugh more when I'm still playing and they're fixing their precious electros =P I'm SLOWLY getting a good name for mags at my field (Canobie Piantball). So far all the refs are converted to thinking they're good. Usually I get "yeah i shot a mag before, it chopped every other ball" and I just stick my finger in the breach and prove them wrong ;-)

      To each his own.

      AGD Did someone call me?

You should go to each gun manufacturers forum or call them up. Ask the OWNER of the company why his gun is better. When you get your answers come back here and tell us what they said.

You should buy my gun because I have 5000 posts that say I care.

Well i never hear anything bad about my mag on the field, however i did get a little insulted at my local shop. With my mag sitting on the counter and me about 6 feet away,a customer asks the shop owner "does anyone even use these anymore?"his reply "nah not really, there kinda heavy and slow" my response was "i got some parts coming,i let you check it out and then you can tell me how slow it is"grab my mag and bounce.

With black ule body,x-valve and other rougue goodies i put on it since above mentioned conversation most people dont even realize that its a mag.i let em shoot it,then im told how light and compact it is and how it fires pretty quick for a mech.its kinda sucks that people know how to get ahold of marker(insert name here)but have never heard of a mag or if they have its a story they heard from a cousin that had a friend who knew a girl that had a dog that had mag and it was heavy and slow and chpped like crazy.oh well i like my mag

p.s. i dont have any problems with my eblade except it eats batterys like there going out of style

I'm usually at the same field every other weekend, but I can count the number of Mag's I've seen (that weren't mine) on two hands, maybe even one. I've seen one other E-Mag in my time. My VSC Phantom does get more attention than either my E-Mag or my RT ULE. Except for every now and then (like yesterday). And it's usually older, more mature players who can actually recognize my Mags.

Soon as a I get a mag I'll be doing the same thing.

While electros are pretty much the norm now, I still get respect playing with a pump or my 98 custom.

It sucks. Here in San Diego, there are about 4 fairly close shops, and not one of them carries 'Mag parts. Only one had a couple twistlock barrels, and they looked used.

i don't get it, why are all of these people bashing on store owners who aren't selling mag parts? For one thing, you can order them online anytime from AGD. and secondly, I don't know about the other states, but here in the Western States we really don't see many mags. I've never even been to a store that sells them brand new. I go to Rich Telford's field in Modesto, CA (GREAT FIELD!) and the only time i've seen other mags there is on an AO day, or in the two years i've been goin there, i've only seen 2 other mag players ONCE! So, what would make a business spend money on a product that no one uses around 'em?

This is a very good point. It makes me mad too, but I understand why these store owners don't carry the parts. No one has the mags to support ordering these parts. Who's fault is it? Well its not anyone's fault, but a lot of reasons come into play as to why they aren't used. AGD didn't really market and PR too much lately. Other guns came really flashy and quick, while AGD was concentrating on quality. I don't mind being the only guy on a field who has a mag. I got a great compliment the other day about my ULE Xvalved mag. When the guy asked me what it was and I showed him it a bit closer he said that it was the best looking mag he had ever seen. Of course I had to be a wiseguy and ask him how many he has seen lately. We both smiled and I walked away. Keep ordering online and dont worry that much.

AGD has not dropped the ball concerning public relations. Can we help it if the general paintball public are ignorant? Ignorance is bliss, leave them to their hapiness! I never hear any bad mag comments at the local shop, of course BradAGD works there though :)

                      mags extinct in MD

I play at least twice a month, and have so for almost 10 years now... In the last five years, I can count on one hand the number of mags I've seen at the five or six fields in the area... Most of the players here don't even know what a mag is, let alone shot one before... I have four stores within fifteen minutes, and I have never seen a mag or any mag parts for sale in any of them...

My closest shop (now moved away) told me exactly why they didn't carry mag stuff anymore (yes they used too). Back pre Emag days AGD left the scene for a gov't project and in turn when the stores wanted to order they couldn't. They were abandoned by AGD. Now the owner says basically this. I've owned one, they are tough, but their support is crap, and the aren't as light or customizable as a cocker (this was pre ULE). I've since then taken my Emag in ALL ULE'd and he'll admit it's lighter but he still won't put one on his wall cause he isn't happy with their business side and would rather stick with products he knows he can get all the time and more importantly sell. It took him a little over a 8 months to sell 4 or 5 classic parts kits.

Well RoadDawg, you've seen the posts. AGD has never done anything wrong, and everyone has complete faith in whatever they do! You should march your happy self right back into that store and call everyone in there a bunch of ignoramuses.

I'm sure that'll turn them around real quick.

Yeah... AGD's never dropped the ball.

Heh...kinda funny, went to Boston Paintball yesterday and got ragged on for shooting not one, but two mags. Guy said "Of all the guns you could have chosen you chose the MAG!?". So sorry if I dont want to shoot just another Timmy or E-Cocker or DM4. Am I not AGG enough for you? Bwahahaha! My explanation was simply "I like to be different". I wish I had paint, I woulda shown him the crazy runaway machine the EMag valved mag is.

Every day I go to play at my local field people ask me what type of gun I have (emag)

people then ask why I spent so much money on an emag when I could have bought and impulse or shocker (all sp here

However, after playing in three tournaments, not chopping any balls (even with bad zap paint) and shooting fast compared to everyone else (~10-12 bps) they are starting to take notice.

I just hope noone else actually buys one - right now I have the only emag in my province (that I know of)
