I remember when a case of marbs was about $120-140. Sure, it was 2500 balls, but still...

However, with the VM-68 I had at the time, I wasnt putting out quite as much paint as I am with my vikings and excaliburs

Do to the very little amount of fields in the area I live, nearest place (around 45 mins away) it cost me 100 a case, which sucks and is why I mostly play on BYOP days and etc... after that, second closest is around 2 hours away paint cost around $ 75-85, third.. the same

Yeah, I remember those $100-120 cases of 2500 where you can basically scoop in your pod or hopper. Of course back then, I was playing with an sl-68. I think competition between brands and companies is also what helps drive the price down.

I dont think paint prices are that bad I can find "everyday" paint for abot 30 bucks for 2000. I usually shoot paint thats about 50 bucks a case and I think its not too bad. I can usually play 3 times or so on one case of paint, and so thats only about 15 bucks for many hours of fun.

paint is way cheaper now than it used to be I remember buying 100 paintballs for 10 dollars and thinking I would never... ever use this much paint. with the electros today its harder and harder no to shoot that much

thats why i built my mech mag it only tops out a 10-11bps but i have extreme accuraccy because i dont have that kind money for paint.

well sure paint is cheaper now, but back in the day you did not have the fire power. So you were paying just as much for a day of paintball. What I am saying is that the faster we can shoot the lower the prices will be. I f you compare how we now buy paint to how they did back in the day it would be like buying in bulf which is cheaper so... the nicer and fater our markers are the cheaper paint will get.

Paint IS cheaper. You mush have just started playing paintball to not know that paint used to be over $100 a case and pretty bad quality.

Just because it was insanely expensive ten years ago doesn't make $75 dirt cheap today. And, yes, I was playing in the early 1990s.

I don't see why it would cost more than .22lr ammo, say $10/500.
