New GOTM Owner??

Alright things are starting to go downhill and everything for gun of the month threads. Lately it's being going not so well, less contestants, very few judges sign up. A few of our AO members have complained about this problem, and we want more contestants and a healthy thread going.
Some rumors report that Dj89 (the owner right now for GOTM) is doing a poor job and maybe have been ignoring the votes from the judges..
Even the best winners have been very suspicious of him..

Rumor has it that DJ89 S T O L E ownership of the GOTM contest. AND! Rumor has it that he doesn't even care what the judges vote for, he makes the last call, just like the Electoral College voting system! lol i think whatshisname said we need a new gotm person then dj snagged it and ran and madea thread..no vote or anything...lets pick somone odler to ao and knows the point of the contest etc etc

Yea... GOTM needs more entries and better prizes. Then there would be a good reason to enter. We need someone that will go out and look for sponsors, or good judges, ones that vote on time. my vote is for new leader.

The GOTM is cool and all but i never knew bout this kinda conspiracy thing. The one time there was a revote was kinda wierd.

I voted for about 2 months, one month before DJ did it and one month while he did it.
It was fine prior to him taking over.

I decided not to do it anymore because there was no organization, he would change categories. I think that month none of my picks were in any of the picks that were made. I think I also was told that I couldnt vote a marker for a certain category because it was not bling... but I mean come on, nothing is defined in the first place.

yea we need someone responsible, it's better to have a physical thing than to just have bragging rights, because if people don't wanna listen, they woln't.
i don't know everybody but we need someone who does so they can tell everyone personally, or someone kinna like me (but i woln't do it) has a lot of expierence (somewhat) common sence (:thomas payne: j/k i hate history) and does not know everyone personally so no people are voted wrongly because you like/hate them.

i didn't realize there was all this drama with it, but i think of DJ as a friend here on the boards. If there is this much crap why not just get rid of it? I mean in the end it should just be for braggin rights. After all, how long will juges keep giveing stuff out of there pockets especially with all the bching going on.

basically, people put somewhat time into making their marker nice or just leave it crap so hey, bragging rights doesnt seem that worth it.

Besides, i was a judge for one of the GOTM's, my votes didnt seem to count when i voted. I think we should get a new Owner, not to bash Dj or anything, we just need a better one.

He never stole it, I gave it up because it was to much work for me at the time and although it was improving it was still frustrating when only half of the judges signed up would send their votes. What you guys need are loyal judges like Chojin Man (and others, just can't think of the names right now, but I know there were other judges like him) to keep monthly votes going. And maybe a person that can afford to give up some sort of prize if no one decides to sponsor.

Instead of blaming Dj89 , why dont you help him out and be a judge? I helped him out 2-3 times with enterys. I think it could have been beter if we hosted the all the topics on a private fouram just for GOTM. So people could pick from best of show , most unique ect....
Also hes only gettin 3 pages of enterys. Not many markers to choose from.
