from my understanding sometime around the August time frame IF they are to release them, Fireblade was stating that if it just isnt cost effective it probably wont be released.Originally posted by ktMagAccording to what I have read, it's only a matter of time before PTP releases it.
basically all the pnuemag is, is this. a small micro 3-way (not autococker 4-way) is used as the trigger activation point then a ram is used with a modified plunger attacked to it to trip the sear. an LPR of some kind has to be used at anywhere from aobut 50-90 psi to make the components work. and it makes the mag a little worse on gas consumption.
im almost done making mine on a Y-Frame and im going to have lots of detailed pics and how i did it. so look for the thread sometime in the next week or 2 depending on when my gf gives me some free time

it'd be awefully lame of them not to make it after stopping the hAir from being made...
oh well...then i'd definitely have to build my ownTheDuelist "The problem is that Tom has developed the VW Beetle of the paintball industry. It's almost too good to change and far too reliable."

people are saying they want it to be around $200 but be realistic, this cant be a drop in mod unless everyone was very crafty with a dremel and knew what they were doing... and being realistic thats just not going to happen.Originally posted by Jerhewit'd be awefully lame of them not to make it after stopping the hAir from being made...
oh well...then i'd definitely have to build my own
so they have to have there own frame made for this maybe $100 then all the pnuematic parts (about $50) then the LPR ($30-$60) not to mention how there going to mount that lpr? could be a modified forgrip style that just mounts onto your rail so maybe a lil more then $60? that and the lpr hoses would be all over the place unless you had a milled rail... so maybe a whole new rail? $50-$75?
so basically when you think about it, its like getting emag lowers. the price could easily be around $350
but then again the do it your self would cost you about $35 for the parts + the lpr and hose and your set. but you would have to be crafty with a dremel and a drill presst33kyboy "So if a cat is dropped from 11 inches, it will most likely die."

i think your estimates are a bit high...
and RRfireblade said that the lpr will be in the gripframe itself...so that rules out any need for rail modifications...
look at it this way...
$115 for an I-frame
$47 for a ult
$162....and that's not counting upgrading to the xvalve that classic mag owners would need to use the ult
meanwhile the pneumag works just fine with a classic valve
if the pneumag ended up being $200, that's only $38 more than having a ult + i-frame(and far cheaper than getting an xvalve, for classic maggers)
that, to me, would be a steal.
I don't think $250 would be outlandish...and I just can't see it costing PTP more than $150 to build anyway...once startup costs are handled
and even if the final price was more like $250...
do you think that'd stop any of the people that are currently drooling over it...and willing to pay $200?
me personally...
even though im considering building my own...
id definitely spend the $200...
and id still be willing to go $250...though it might take me a bit longer to save up the cash
if it ends up being $350...
they did something severely wrong, and you're right...they wouldnt be selling a ton of thoseTheDuelist "The problem is that Tom has developed the VW Beetle of the paintball industry. It's almost too good to change and far too reliable."

that is true...
but to be honest, you DONT need the ult
but i like to expect the worst that way most everything turns out good
id more then likely pay the $350 for the grip frame if it was that much anyways, im just comparing it to a new E2 Eblade. so that when it does come out and its say $250 then hell yeah thats awesome, but expect the worst and hope for the best. at least that is what im doingt33kyboy "So if a cat is dropped from 11 inches, it will most likely die."

fair enough
oh ya and it's going to have to compete with the mq valve...
not sure how much that'd going to be though...probably more than the pneu
i hope they both come out though...for the sake of the mag name just as much as for the sake of myself buying one(planning on getting one of each
)

you wouldnt need a ULT or even an xvalve. i know the electrician is running a classic with his pnuematic frame and the e-frame(same concept with a solenoid valve instead of mech 3-way.
i could see all the parts being 100$ or so plus the frame, so 200-250 wouldnt be outrageous
