$70 for Zap Cryptic at BApaintball

II Sports in san jose is selling Zap Cryptic in store for 35 a case, honestly this stuff is Chronic 2nds, same fill just not as bright and the shell is not as fragile, but the stuff shoots awsome and its nearly impossible to wipe.

I wouldn't have a problem with 70 a case if it was chronic, or some other high end paint, but 70 dollars for cryptic is a bit excessive, the mark up is HUGE even compared to retail. Even carpet bobs place is pricing for paint but they don't gouge you with mid level paint, they have evil for 68 somthing a case, not much higher than people pay pay retail for it.


I highly doubt BA stays open that long.

Paintballinvasion in NJ charges between 42 and 60 per case by quality, 20 for indoor and outdoor play all day, and 7 for an air pass.

But Im with Bobo , Ill pay to not deal with the little "AGG Hags" that seem to infest the local fields.

Please, lol. Biggest favor you could do for the folks who like having real refs, real dressing areas and real toilets.
Ive done my time with crap fields,refs and porto pots.
I can live without "real" fields.

I think an attack on Venture is unwarranted - different fields for different players. Sorry you had a bad experience there.

I'm happy to keep BAP - the less aholes, the better.

Honestly I don't have a problem with the field fee. I think the air should be 10, and drop the paint prices to 60 and it would be a better deal in my eyes.

I would, but i'm playing tag on sunday. Honestly I like tag, I want to keep playing there and the new stuff they are going to have in a month will be pretty awsome, all the new fields at the same great price.

In games I don't shoot a lot of paint, typically a halo and a pod, more if its on the woods ball field, its just I play none stop from 10-3 at tag. And depending on the speed of the ref's and the people playing you can pack a lot of games in the day.

The money to play isn't an issue, its what i get for my money that I have an issue with. I just think that they charge WAY to much for the paint that you get to shoot, and if they have a no BYOP policy they should at least have options of paint quality and prices. $50 for a case of cryptic wouldn't be out-ragious in my eyes for an outdoor field, and $60 would be pushing it for an indoor.


I like the idea that I can play from 10-10 at BA, but at 70 dollars a case i much rather take my money else where and use it.

Talked to Roland about tag, once they get the new stadium lighting up they are going to have all day play 10-midnight.
