$70 for Zap Cryptic at BApaintball

Ba paintball sucks teh big pener. I went there and watched my friends play(2 x $100 waste) and it was the most horrible thing ive ever seen. The refs are inexperienced, the people are all nubs, saying popshot instead of snapshot, which is fitting because they did nothing that ever qualified as a snapshot. They fill compressed air from a scuba bank and they were at 2100 psi which sucks when you pay for 4500 fills. They allow dead talking so dont think youll ever move up without every eliminated retard calling your spot. In summary, that place sucked and is not worth a dime of my money.

anyway - sorry for the outlash - just with gas at 3$ a gallon, paintball in the Bay here is really going towards the elites - which is a shame since some of the BEST players - both rec and Speed are found here in cali. It distresses me that I am not able to play as much as I want because of this.......

You didnt play...your friends could have played all day until they closed...how is it a waste unless you left after 5 hours?) and it was the most horrible thing ive ever seen. The refs are inexperienced,( New but they are players and know where to look...I had seen 2 refs take flying dives to check players in the heat of it) the people are all nubs( Lol, Yeah...guess it was a different group there today...Higher end people with CLASS), saying popshot instead of snapshot,( So what? worry about your own game not others stuff...oh wait ...you werent playing...cough cough) which is fitting because they did nothing that ever qualified as a snapshot.( And being a pro you would be the one to go to on alll things paintball jargon related ) They fill compressed air from a scuba bank and they were at 2100 psi which sucks when you pay for 4500 fills.( Agree...Im sure this is being dealt with...because they listen to what the players want...not some NUB on a board) They allow dead talking so dont think youll ever move up without every eliminated retard calling your spot.( Up your game guy, X BALL allows this ..just up your game...and this wasnt an issue with us today...different class of player) In summary, that place sucked and is not worth a dime of my money( O hthank god...for a minute there I though you would come back and wipe us all off the field with your god like paintball powers!!!) .

I went to BAP today and had a GREAT experience...and I played ...not watching my friends from the sidelines.

Refs are NEW but they seem to be getting the hang of it, they got better as the days went on...and even at the "worst" times in the day, These refs were still HEAD AND SHOULDERS above nearly ALL the reffing staffs around, I will put these guys up against nearly ANY staff I have had to play around...and this includes some of my Mare Island days.
Paintchecks were dealt with as fast as possible...sometimes they didnt make it but...they were at least making the effort to do them.
We had fast turn arounds, We had 10 games before we took lunch... EASY.
The level of play was good to great with walk ons and "regs" playing stand up ball.
Fast, Furious but fun.
You take a break when you want to ...not when the field wants you to.
Bobo and I slimed over to IN AND OUT about a 1/2 block walk from the place.

Bathrooms for both male and female, CLEAN I may add. Paper towel dispensers all over the place to clean off with. Vending machines with G aid and water plus sodas and such.

Floors on the field were great, BY FAR the best "turf" I have played on. Cleaned and no "pools" of paint to slide or slosh through.
If we had an issue or a request for a game...the refs listened to us and made whatever we wanted happen.
We played without the "turret" walkways all day (thank god) and bunkering "on" all day.
Customers choice ...a novel idea.
All of the higher end players kept the attitudes and overshooting in check on their own and refs were ontop of the small issues that came up.

Yes, there is a few things I would like to see ...45k fills and good conditioned paint.

There wasnt any issues with Dead man talk during the day.

But I expect that these will be added when this field takes off.
Prices...meh. about what I expected, but as with all things I will GLADLY pay for Quality .
Thats what I have had with BAP , A QUALITY experience with a great staff and great a facility.

Pros- Kick *** facility with CLEAN restrooms, tables and staging areas , lockers and vending machines of a few different types.
Great refs WHO GIVE A POOP about your experience at the field.
Easy location to get to (20 ish min from Richmond area.) With parking all over the place.
Security cams in the staging areas so that IF someone wanted to lift your gear...You have a clue as to what they look like, thus improving the odds of getting the bastige.
Easy driving distance to Peets and Starbucks coffee houses...as well a Jamba juice and a bagel place.
In and Out... 1/2 block away ,Need we say more?( Sorry other coasters this is a WC thing)

Cons- Air fills are to 2k ...when you pay for a 45k price.
Paint was IFFY but usable, I have had worse but...it could be better. Flew straight though for some reason ( this defies all known paintball logic I know of)
,....Im stretching on this one. Change the fields up a bit to get rid of the "lanes" that are so easy to read and run through.
Prices. Yeah, the are a bit steep but, I will go back no problem. Ill pay an avg of $30 more per day to have maintained facilitis, real bathrooms and secured areas to store my gear, and refs that give a rats *** about your day ...and not just when they can go get high or play grab *** with each other.

Dont like it? Shut up and go play somewhere else.Please. Enjoy your iffy fields with the porto sans,marginal paint (common theme of ALL field paints it seems) and even more IFFY refs. (" I dont know you so, Im not going to worry about what you think of how Im doing my job."
Or.."You dont play on any team I know so...Im not going to bother")
Ill gladly go back to BAP...not perfect but better than the rest I have had to play at ....for 10 ish years

7 out of 10 Good but room to grow.
