I think it has to do with a general state of drunkedness.. you don't notice all the hits, and the marker is so unsteady one hitting you is so much of a miracle as to be deemed an act of god

        all in fun

When I play, I really try hard not to over shoot. if I do, I appologize. Do I like being overshot? No, but I realize that it's a part of the game, and even a cursory appology would be nice, even if they didn't mean it.

i just played yesterday (team practice) and EVERY game i was gitting hit ATLEAST 3 times unless i was gogged while playing back...but then i still walked out into a few balls.

i agree with whoever said the sting makes it feel worth it...sure, i have a few nice sized welts from getting mugged a few times, but without the pain, why would you even play? people would do run-thru's all day long.

yeah, now that that is put out there, i suppose it would be like airsoft if there was no pain, the looming presence of pain makes you play better/gets adrenaline going

Same thing happened to me this saturday, well it wasnt me but i was there and accused.

There was this guy he was good and all nothing special, he had is own set up and stuff.

So he was the last one in. He was in the snake in hyper ball. My brother was playing and he said even before he get in the snake he hit him 2 times on the hopper. The guy played on.

After like 15 seconds in the snake he got hit on the body and noticed it.

Now this is where it gets good, he "said" that he was hit like "8" times, well none of us on the opposing team heard it. So of course we kept shooting, i mean it wasnt anything heavy or anything just shooting to keep him down.

So anyway, he eventually somehow gets the refs attention who was standing like 15 feet away from him and the ref calls the game over.

Now the guy gets up and starts screaming at everyone. He was on fire for about 15 minutes AFTER the fact. He didnt even get shot up or anything. Plus, he didnt raise his gun like you are SUPPOSE to, he just said that he yelled that he was out like "8" times. So this guy is pissing and moaning at everyone cause he feels violated.

So i thought it was over, we all just ignored him at staging area. Then, we get to the next game. Luckily i wasnt on his team. But one thing he did was tell his whole team, who my brother was on, to gain up or whatever to the kid in white shirt red shorts (me).

Funny, if they cant take it go away, oh and yes this guy was in his 30s. Some of those guys need to leave if its that big of a deal i mean dang a 12 year old puts up with more than this guy did.

This was hard to post for I know that this team will get wind of this thread and probably have bad words to reply with.

                  OH Well.

When one of their teammates were shot, supposedly 4 times, WOW, OVERSHOT in the back? He responded to the 14 year old by yelling to him: " I AM GOING TO EFFEN KILL YOU!"

                  Nice Uh?

Real Class, Just pure class, something I never want to see again, and I watched the 14 year old go over and apologized for overshooting and responding to the killing quote with: "BE A MAN AND WALK OFF THE FIELD!"

                  LOL
Hey, it was a sight to see. Just garbage. Real Trash.

You know what, they know who they are, and if that is what they consider good playing attitudes, well then they can live with themselves...

You know what? I do get worked up after a little bonus balling. If by bonus balling you mean I'm shouting at them that im out, holding my gun above my head and they still send another ten balls my way, yeah I'm gonna get pissed off. I apologize if i shoot someone more than twice, or if i accidenally hit them when they are walking off.

People that complain about overshooting are complaining about nothing 90% of the time. Seriously, overshooting happens and yelling won't help anything. I NEVER complain about any overshooting unless its completely un-needed like shoot 10+ times on a bunker run. People need to stop complaining and just play.

Yeah but threaten a 14 year old over a couple of extra balls?

You're taking it way too seriously.

The problem with everyone is everyone, and I mean literally everyone is narrow-minded when it comes to cheating in paintball.

You shoot someone in the elbow, they give a quick touch to see if there's paint, you're shooting Stingers or something and the paint is non-existant. He thinks it bounced so he keeps playing, you think he wiped because there's no paint and he's still playing!

Most people in that situation would have immediately labeled that person as a wiper. Nobody would have taken the time to think about it. There are very few people in paintball who intentionally cheat all the time. Some people try to justify it, an example would be when I was in a back bunker with a guy, apparently he shot this player way before, he gets gogged, goes into his bunker, wipes it off. I was loading and happened to watch it all and just snickered behind my bunker, we only had one ref on the field.

I was battleing with my teammate in the snake, and swear I shot him atleast 2-3 times. I move up the field and shoot him in his pack, then snap him out again, he gets me in my hand and I walk out, he runs down the field and shoots everyone, I talk to him after the game and turns out I did actually shoot him all those times, he just wiped and played on. And the only reason he got away with it was because there was no ref there. I didn't mind really, knowing that I shot him was good enough because I know in a real tournament situation a ref would have been there watching and pulled him.

You shoot someone in the front of their hopper, no spray comes off of the side where their lense is, they don't hear a crack and keep playing, keep playing, and push the hopper into their bunker to load up and the hit sorta half disappears. Now you'd label them someone playing on or cheating. When you realize that they had no idea.

Overshooting? It happens. I don't do it on purpose, ever. but I do make sure the player is out, I've lost games because I didn't get a break on a person even though I shot them 20-30 times.

Just play paintball, and let everything go, there's absolutely no reason to hold a grudge, it brings everyone down and does nothing to benefit anyone. I get bonus-balled, instead of throwing my arms up and yelling. I laugh and count how many times I got shot.

Paintball is paintball, complaining just makes it less fun.

Hey, you are saying what i was saying, and i was just trying to get it off my chest and get feed back, thats what we do here.

I dont believe EVERYONE is the problem, and that is the point i was trying to make. just a few choice pals. Let everything go doesnt always work, and i dont care how many times i have been shot, shot is shot. 1-100 shot is shot, figure on getting 100 and be happy with 10...

i like 250, but thats just me, if i havent been plastered all day, i havent done enough, or gotten in front enough, or moved enough, or tried hard enough, or wanted to win enough...

AND your right throwing your arms around and swearing and freaking out isnt the way to go and it doesnt happen often, not with EVERYONE as you had mentioned, so i am poiting out the the crybabies, the wusses, the mammas boys and telling them to go play Jacks at the park.

I agree, I've been on a full time swat team and trained with simunitions which shot at over 350fps and break skin. anybody that plays paintball should exspect to be overshot it's part of the game. you play in hot weather, your sweating, your adrenaline is pumping, your mask is fogged up and you see the opposing team. the markers that most of us use shoot 15 or more balls a sec. so you shoot one ball or 15+ a sec and your gone to hit your opponate more than once.

I was shot and hit twice it was a good shoot until I tripped and fell on rocks I yelled out and put my barrel condom on and the guy who shot me shot me five more times while I was laying on the ground, now to me thats overshooting and just asking for injuries. the Ref pulled him and I left volintaraly and talk to the guy and we were good after that. I went back out and shot some player and they shot me. IT'S PAINTBAL AND YOUR GOING TO GET HIT IF YOU DON"T LIKE IT DON"T PLAY.

Eric I'm a momma's boy and I like my mommy to help me. I always need help.LOL

The feild is great and the refs did an awsome job on saturday. Just my 2 cent.
