On PBN both ROcky from Naughty Dogs and PSP-Ed the ref making the call have contributed their versions of the story.

I've asked how anyone in their right mind can claim that the bump and grind that occured between Rocky and the bunker (at 1:48 on the video) before the refs got to him could claim that it was anything less than a completely deliberate attempt to cheat.

if anything is ruled a rub on the field, refs are supposed to wipe it clean so there is no problem later on.

if it was a rub, it should have been cleaned and furthermore, on field calls are supoposed to stand.

i havn't watched the vid yet, on my way to do that now.

      Florida peeps...step up!!

In fact based on that behaviour it saves them the trouble of suspending them, which they should.

The sport of professional paintball needs to standardize reffing and put some teeth in their ability to reprimand that type of behaviour. I guess the real root of the problem is that you have so many different leagues operating that its easy to jump into another one if you have a problem or act like an ***.

The first and "claimed" rub happens at 1:34 as he runs in.

Unfortuantely the vid is unclear and doesn't show his feet. But he goes VERY low and close. I he didn't trip or skid it didn't look like an intelligent trajectory.

Regardless, there should be a rule against destruction of evidence that should carry a hig penalty. The rub at 1:48 is him showing the refs "how it happened". But considering no ref had yet got particularily close, it's a convenient way to obliterate any remaining trace.

So Rocky has some explaining to do. In the vid he and the ND claim it was an old rub/splatter and he was called clean. He defends the move and claims the hit is from a rub at the last moment. The ref says the ball hit his sleeve during his run.

ND shouldn't accuse the refs of changing their stories. ND and Rock can't even come up with a coherent story!

The incident demonstrates that PSP is bush league. Most professional sports have a provision that game results cannot be changed on account of a referee mistake once the final whistle has blown. If Rocky had been called out and he refused to leave the field it would have been proper to disqualify the Dogs, but since he was allowed to play on until the end of the game this should never have become an issue. All in all Rocky is a good guy and a tough competitor. He certainly is NOT a "bad boy" type. Rocky has apologized for his reactions. It's too bad he was placed in this position by bumbling refs.

You see what I've been saying, people just go out of there way to justify cheaters. The PSP ref said rocky was hit on the arm but he must not have felt it. But if he did'nt feel it why the rub, and why did'nt he stop when the ref was yelling for him to? He and the ND's should have been suppended for there conduct after the game.

I see no conclusive proof that Rocky was hit or that he wiped in the video. I don't know which video you have been watching but in the one linked on the first page, I don't see Rocky Knuth in it at all (until the game is over). As far as I can see, the "featured" Naughty Dog in the action is #24 Tyler McCluskey all the way through.

Apparently, one of the refs looked at Rocky and called him clean and then after the game said that he didn't check the "other side". What's up with that? Would you call that a paint check? I do know that if a ref had seen Rocky get hit and he was not responding to being called out, then the ref should have gotten to Rocky as fast as possible and tapped him out then and there, case closed. Consider a football game where the losing team is given the win after the game has ended because the refs viewed a video which proved that a lineman was holding during the game winning touchdown in the 3rd quarter. Sounds preposterous doesn't it? One of the primary jobs of referees is to control the cheating that in one form or another goes on all the time in competitive sports. This must be done quickly and authoritatively during the game, not as an afterthought.

Did you not read the PSP ref's statement on PBN.? He seen your boy get hit and was doing his best to stop him from continueing to play.
