It seems like you have a generation gap there. I'm the same age as you except not as high a GPA
, but I never had any problems with buying guns, its the $100+ upgrades my parents go crazy about, here's what I'd do; First off:
1) Call them "markers" it reavaluates the fact that it is a game not war.
2) NAG - You shouldn't have to ask to buy something just keep nagging 'till they give
3) LAST RESORT - Let someone shoot the crap out of you then come home and talk about how it wouldn't have happened with a gun with a faster trigger and better range - This can either save you or kill you, use at own risk.
One of my quasi-friend's parents are complete anti-gun / war / retaliation / fun / paintball, so he can't even rent a gun to go. So feel somewhat well off
