That would certainly move that marker out of the "air gun" catagory and into the "firearms" catagory. No doubt about it.

sounds to me like it would be a very heavy set up. in the picture they show only the small camping stove size propane bottles, but propane itsself is pretty heavy.

does anybody know the actual weight of propane compared to co2, while both are in liquid state.

I guess the other advantage is propane is very lp, meaning thinner tanks, less aluminum, and lighter weight, but the propane itself is sort of heavy.

Most states definitions of firearms state that combustion of some sort had to occur, thats what kept paintball markers out of fire arm definitions.

I wonder if there would be more restrictions on these such minimal barrel length, capacity bans, full auto bans, etc.

No... it would sneak under the radar until something went wrong. Under Michigan law a paintball marker is very very clearly a firearm as defined, noone seems to care. Not that I'm complaining that noone cares of course.

Well lets look at this. To achieve proper combustion and maximise fuel usage a 4.3 fuel to air mix is required. With a chamber this small that sounds about right.

I'm sure the Tippmann techs have asked themselves all of these questions and more. Pluse they're smarter than most of us so I woudn't worry about it.
