you should know this. well, im guessing you do know this, but ill say it anyway. what makes all the difference is tippmanns are cheap. they are mass produced, low quality markers. it costs more for the aluminum stock a ule body is made from than it costs tippmann to produce an entire '98c body. if PBgear.com and your local store sold ule mags for $100-200 each, theyd take over from tippmanns in no time. but thats not possible to do, and not many people want a $500 mech when you can get a fairly good electro new for $3-400.Originally posted by RogueFactorThe only issue I have with these solutions is that 80% of these fixes could also be said about Tippmans. Why would these things need to be done to survive, when Tippmans is doing just fine without them?

i think AGD should make a few changes. 1. make the valve smaller and annod, and, make a blowback gun, but made hard as rock, like automags. That would sell

the only way i see any mag resurrection is if there was a large movement for a mech only tournament 'league' or whatever they are called these days. And the only way to get a bunch of people into it is if there is some really nice prize for the winner of the big event. You'd probably have to overly trump the normal electro tournament prizes in order for people to pick up a mech and start playing.
As far as mag technology, I don't see much past the pneu-mag. We will see how coolhand's e-frame is.....

wats the point of making it blowback and anno'ing???? the annoing is already done..... black..... or its $10 more from other websites in blue, red ect!!!!! lose the "hard as rock" becuase that makes ppl think.... well must b heavy as one too....... "like automags" hmmm AGD = automags........i think AGD should make a few changes. 1. make the valve smaller and annod, and, make a blowback gun, but made hard as rock, like automags. That would sell

One way to help would be to spread the word. Do you have a nice mag? One that performs well and looks decent too? If so, flash it around, show the guys at your field. Hook them up with links to places to buy ADG stuff. If ADG won't advertise you've got to do it yourself. It won't "save" anything but who knows, if we get enough people spreading the word it might help.Z-man - "I would say we are not so much proud as...viscously loyal. Dissing AGD in earshot of AO is like throwing rocks at a bees nest... a big bees nest... with millions of freaking bees that have modded AI software, maneuverability upgrades and rocket launchers."

I don't know if this opinion has already been stated, but I think that AGD has contributed to their downfall in part by producing such quality markers.
When you produce a product that is so durable that it can be bought ad used hard, and resold, and used hard, and resold...etc.etc.etc. You are taking away from the income that could occur from people buying another marker because their last one broke.
If you can buy a cheap used marker that you know will work as well as a new one because of its durability, one would usually opt for the used (if cosmetics aren't an issue).
I know this happens in the car industry. For example the Ford Windstar mini van was put out of production because it ran too well, too long. People didn't need a new car because their old one ran great.
I don't know, that's just my opinion.

They should quit selling the classic mag with the power feed body. They should take those bodys and melt them down and make a more modern version. Selling mags with this body just makes non mag owners think that that is all there is from AGD. I think when most people think of mags they think of the old mags that we used 13 years ago. AGD has come a long way since then and should flaunt it.

I don't know I kind of like it sometimes when the ignorant assume a Mag is outdated, slow, and chops.
I have some fond memories of playing 3 on 3 against some "agg kidz" who made such comments before playing and then proceeded to get eliminated by that "old" mag in under a minute in both games. They declined a third... LOL

Being in the UK I see things differenty from most of you.
Over here there is definately a market for the mag. The problem is that there is no real supply for the demand. I contacted AGDE on a number of separate occasions with regards to products for my mag and their response was basically to give me the url for airgun.com and say 'You'll have to order it from the US'. There is practically nowhere in the UK to purchase mags and this has been reflected upon by a growing lack of knowlege of what's available.
I played at my local site the other day with my Tac One and I had people thinking it was electro and asking me what it was. When I tell them it's a mech they all had the same shocked look. One guy thought it was an Ion and I told another person that it was an automag and he was like 'A what?' he'd never even heard of the mag. I think this definately points towards a serious lack of exposure for the mag which could lead to more business, in the UK at least. If it moves... SHOOT IT! If it still moves... SHOOT IT AGAIN!!!
