That is one sweet piece! I still like the styling of the Protos better though.

I've been trying not to convince myself to buy a Proto because I really want an X/Emag...but damn--the Matrix is really nice!

Quick question: Is the Matrix made in the U.S.?

          Cool.

I just don't like for my paintball gun to be made in China also--I've already got enough stuff made there...

P.S.--I see that your location also says Whittier. I grew up in West Covina.

awesome. I'm still getting oriented with the place, I think I am just a tad south of West Covina. I go to Whittier College over there, but the 'rents and most of my stuff still lives in San Diego.

They use this kind of wind shield wiper method. There's an extra button on the back of the gun. When you press it the windshield wiper type things clean off the eyes for you.

I'm rather liking the looks of those. Maybe when the DM8 is released I will be able to afford a DM6....

I think I am going to set a limit on how much I pay for a PB marker... and that limit is going to be what I can buy a nice Kimber for.

Just a clear plastic "window" over the eyes... it helps so that the bolt blows paint off of the flat surface, and it can't get crammed into eye crevices very easily.

Nice looking marker A bit overpriced for my tastes though, it's amazing that DYE can get people to spend this much consistantly on new markers.

Are you sure about this? Not that it matters any but Im pretty sure both Protos/DMs are manufactured in Taiwan.

Tuna, actually, i barely paid anything in comparison, Dye hooked me up better than i think any dealer could do as kindof a thank you gift for repping them the past 2 years in the OGD.

But i Do appreciate your help.

Lather, to my knowledge, all production of dye markers is done here in the USA, dye asia just got up and running, and i doubt that dave would make his markers overseas, for the main reason that dave is a man who sees the quality in things. Dye treats their markers much like mags, its all about precision, and you cannot get the same quality over seas.

i used the DM6 and, if nothing else, it is leaps and bounds more comfortable to play with than any other dye marker, light, the ultralight frame is real nice, just, porpitioned nicley. Really, i preferd my featherlight that i had out that day, but, the DM6 was really nice none the less. Only gripe was that it wasnt as smooth as i had expected, due to the lighter weight and fatser cycling speed, it had a bit of kick (nothing to complain about, more "feedback" than "kick", but, it was there, definatly more noticable than the featherlight). But, really, i wouldnt mind shooting one at all, real nice marker.
