Hey, ill sell you a mag armeson stealth for 30 buks plus shipping. Also a problem you might have with sniping is that always keep moving idea. Find a spot stay there, hit one guy then move. Cus remember, BUSHES DONT MOOVE! If they do shoot em till they stop.

welter skelter? that's an odd name. It was in a beatles song and I believe that welter skelter was the name of the Manson Family's prophecy. Anyway, I don't think sniping is too useful. In woods I just like to rush up a tape line and as fats as possible. I just like to apply pressure and gradually bunker people. The easiest way to play woods is to get 3 people in a triangle and get the back person to give coverfire as the front men move up. You move up much quicker that way but it's a bit predictable. I have never had any competition in woods. Speedball is what most decent people play these days. Ohh, and the armson is the loudest barrel I have ever heard. It's more of a bang sound instead of a tat. Ghillie suits and moving do not go together. I imagine you run much slower in a ghillie suit and who is NOT going to notice a moving bush?

Its hard to snipe at the fields i go to... First to get set up takes time and games are only about 15 min long, then everyone has to have their markers set to the same Chrono which is designed for close in fighting which means u have to have a gun that can utalize as much air per shot as possible and a slight backspin to get an edge over range..... Its all speed ball...Guns are designed for speed ball type playing... most people set up their markers to fire as many paintballs as possible. I mean turny playing is basiclly speed ball bunckering. Never seen a turny game last more then 15 min yet. I have always wanted to set up a field heavly bushed on 2 sides and open in the middle.. then let them turn up the power on the markers but dont let them cross a border so no one gets hurt at close range shots... a pure sniper field.. just an Idea.

I was just about to say that Paintchucker, until I saw your post, thanks for clearing that up.
Oh, and Liigod, tahs the point of camoflauge. You shoud be good enough that when upi move, you still won't be seen. Only when you are dead out in the open, is when you should move as little as possible, but then again, most snipers would shoot from a TREE LINE!! From there, they would have all the cover they need. Trust me, I know about the movement thing.

Yes, Welter Skelter. They are a very, very good team in Florida. If any of you ever play at Extreme Assault near Orlando, go out there some Sunday, and ask around. They may be there, and challenge them to a one on one woods game. Then lets see if you believe in sniping.

I'm in the process of making a ghillie suit :-D Check out www.pbreview.com/forums and go to the general paintball talk there is a ghillie thred there. I'd like to see your suit. I too think that sniping is more of a state of mind because ultimatly you can't snipe in paintball. A real sniper would be out of range of a regular gun but when you are all shooting the same thing that won't work. . . but you can still be stealthy, and practice patients.

In my own opinion, a ghillie suit is cheating as it is too much padding and causes the paintball to bounce when hit...

i agree, having lots of soft cottom like material hanging loosly HAS to affect bouches

Man if your wearing a ghillie suit people shouldn't see you to be able to get a shot off. And i have gotten shot and it breaks just the same. And if some1 does see you you usually don't see them (sneak up from behind) so they have the advantage then. Its just like picking a different type of camo than your apponent. and if you get hit and it doesn't break I hope you have to common sense to call yourself out.

n00bs do that, but not everyone, usually you wanna check and make sure if it breaks or not, not just throw your camo'd stick/leaf covered arms up and yell out

the way I do things

The way me and my crew play is if your hit your hit... Thats how we normally do it at the field too. Unless its a game where there is medics. We play like if your shot and it breaks your out, if your shot and it doesn't break your better call yourself out. I play w/ some kids from my school sometimes and I use slam balls (as we all know there like shooting rocks) these kids are sometimes 1st time players and when they get pinned down by me and I'm hitting them from a long distance w/ slams they usually don't break. Now if I would keep shooting at them after a non-breaking ball they might get the wrong idea about paintball. so I let them call themselves out. Now does it make sense?
