If you get shot in the throat with a paintball whats the worse that can happen.It just happend to my cousin and his parents are freaking out.He has a ball on his neck but now my aunt and uncle are thinking of taking him to the hospital.He was at a field when this happen and I dont know if the gun he got shot with was over 300fps.

Tell him to get a neck protector, after I got shot I got one and have been shot in the neck several times after I got the protector and it still hurt more than a normal chest/stomach/leg/whatever shot, but not even close to as bad as it was when I was shot without the protector on. -

Well my aunt told me that he has a bad bruise and it like a ball.Havent really seen it but i'll tell him to take some pics of it so i can post it.His parents are feaking out really bad and saying he is never going to play again and that the child protection srevice is going to come and stuff.There being dumb to me but I really cant say that to my aunt and uncle.Comment

They problem with that was that my aunt saw it.My mom told me that she went there to go drop off some water and she saw him crying and she was like wtf and she got all mad and stuff.So I think that is out of the question.

Its happened to me. Hurt like hell but nothing was wrong. It happens to most all of us eventually. If someone gives you crap about wearing a neck protector dont worry about it. Beat them on the field and remind them how much better they are because they didnt have a neck protector.Why doesnt anything work for me.Comment

Worst I ever got was abotu 4 inches away from a F-2 Illustrator shooting about 340 some. Ill fated charge accross a path way, I was in front, got shot put hand up turned around callign out, my own teammate was charing forward with his friggin eyes closed and shot me right in the throat. Fell down gasping for air, and had no voice for about 6 hours, but was fine after that aside from a nasty bruise and voice like froggy from the Lil Rascals.
thats pretty much worst case...
gotta love big games and morons.....
Anyway, neck protectors do not "look bad" and have saved me a lot of pain and explanation for the bruises. I wear one that is so wore out its sick... might look into one of those NXE's...
Do they fit like an 18-19 inch neck?

. Yeah he should be fine. His parents are overreacting and such but that's what they are for. Get a neck protector or a turtle neck shirt, just as good, if you don't want to get hit there next time.
